All those long holes make me think that is a generic one size fits nobody skid plate.

I'm thinking the one I have is for under the radiator. I probably took it off when I was working on either the steering or the water pump. I will take better pics tonight with measurements.

I'd buy a new oil pump. 80 dollars for Aisin. Well worth it.

Gotcha - email sent to RHT about availability and price.

Sounds good - thanks!

How can they sell the same part for less than half of what Toyota does and the Toyota price is with our 25% discount???

ETA: doesn't matter - I ordered it.

It doesn't have TEQ on it.

It is half the price and will probably be better than what I have already...hope so...I ordered it.

Aisin is the OEM manufacturer.

ALso you want to look in your intake manifold for cracks. Usually right under where the carb sits.

That is a stock skid plate, and yes, there is a plate under the radiator (more of a splash plate) that takes 5 bolts

Will do. Won't work on the Pig again until probably Monday. Tis deer season so I'm scarce on the weekend.

Did the pic Yooper posted up look like the splash plate? Any armor is good armor...heck, the Piggie isn't a flyweight!

Here's a couple better pics finally. It takes 7 bolts, of which I saved three for some reason. One of the bolts goes in horizontally, I think to the front crossmember. It's not super heavy duty but it would protect the radiator from a rock for sure. If it looks like it will fit say the word and I'll ship it.

I'll take it! Let me know what I owe you.

WEEKEND UPDATE
Didn't get too much done. I was able to clean out the garage which helped me actually find some parts. I cleaned up a few small things and got things in order so when my motor arrives back from the machine shop I'll be able to jump right into reassembly.

Original 76 exhaust manifold is definitely scrap metal. Intake is OK. I'm working on getting my spare 76 manifold apart to hopefully reuse the exhaust manifold. If not I have the intake/exhaust manifold off of the 83 that I could use if I had to.

I'll send it cheaply. Buy me a beer someday.

That manifold crack I'm sure contributed to the cabin noise...

Thanks!

BTW - the :princess: always has to have a trip planned that she can look forward to. I'm thinking about flying up to the UP in the spring and seeing some parts that we weren't able to make while we lived in E Lansing...would probably fly into Marquette - so I could buy you a  then!
