Not all connector bodies are serviced separately. In fact it is more common to find them not serviced. The workaround (from the factory wire repair manual by the way) is to use two avaliable mating connectors that fit the same terminals and have the same number or greater cavities.

This is true. We save all (well, a lot) of the harnesses we remove. Sometimes you just need to harvest that one connector, or you need a few wires with pins to splice in. Very convenient to have.

I’m fortunate enough to have access to a system to look up part numbers, and figure having a single place to put all the obscure requests would be a good idea.

So here it is. Please post what you need, whether it’s LX or LC, model year AND build date, and if possible a picture.. and I’ll see if I can dig up useful numbers.

Btw if it’s inappropriate for me to call my own thread “official” let me know and I’ll adjust.

Looks like the original number was 71072-60F00-A1 but it has been superseded by 71072-60F01-A1

For the record Toyota calls that color Shell.

You'll see that these aren't exactly cheap. I'd strongly suggest working with a dealer that will verify fitment with your VIN. That way if the parts don't fit for some reason they're on the hook for the cost.

I think I must have removed it for the AHC delete and never put it back on. Anyway it's back on now.

Guys, this is a Hail Mary pass, but I needed the part number for the small dash LCD screen that indicates PRD, Tire pressure, odometer, etc. It's starting to fade out, and I would hate to have to find a junked dash to replace it.

I'm curious.. if someone replaces the whole combo meter, I assume it needs to be coded to the rest of the vehicle.. but does the odometer start at 0 again or does that get addressed with the coding?

Well, WE don’t actually do anything. When ordering a new combo meter, we have to tell Toyota the current, ODO reading and the VIN and they will program that information before shipping the combo meter.

There is also a stipulation that the vehicle may not drive under any circumstance until the NEW combo meter is shipped and installed.

Well, WE don’t actually do anything. When ordering a new combo meter, we have to tell Toyota the current, ODO reading and the VIN and they will program that information before shipping the combo meter.

I would give a call to your preferred Toyota parts department. From what I understand, we have to have the car in our possession from the time we order the combo meter until we install it. There’s a fair amount of paperwork, owner verification, odometer verification. I’ve only replaced a few of them ever, and it’s a process.

This is the process I followed l my time. The vehicle has to be "downed" once the mileage has been submitted. It didn't take too long for them to come in. A day or two

No. I spent 37 years in the business as a dealer Parts Manager. 26 years with Toyota.

Toyota won't provide sub-component level parts. That said, if you disassemble and find part number imprinted on the LCD screen, it is possible to find suppliers with those components. I've done it a number of times with integrated stereo components, NAV, and A/C elements. They may take awhile to acquire as they usually come from overseas.

EDIT, may just be cheaper and easier to do something like this. Available from any number of outlets, Ebay, Alibaba and everything in between. Search digital dash for LX570. There's sometimes really cool functionality from these. Reliability may be roll of the dice. Yet, I'm generally pleasantly surprised the quality and degree of integration for our low volume models, but I think this is driven by the huge number rigs in the middle east and elsewhere.
