199000 miles on it now, finally put a set of fox shocks and Dobinson springs on for 3.5”lift and extended rear brake line. Then loaded up the car and went to Colorado to Climb part of Mount Antero. Made it to 14,003 feet, before realizing I’m old and out of shape!!!

Taught the Girl Scout some basic car care..... I think the parents learned more than the kids. Change the oil’s, changed the tire, clean the battery terminals, learn how to check engine fluid levels..... and that cars have manuals in the glove box!!! Crazy.

For the past six months I’ve been chasing down why braking is not 100% like it used to be.... One of the rear calipers had a frozen bleeder screw and you could tell from the surface rust on the rotor it was not clamping down as tight as the other side, so I replaced it. Still didn’t seem that 100% as compared to my other 80 Series Rigs. So I just didn’t know how to figure out if one of the front calipers was not working properly... searched all over the Internet and could not find anyone to give instruction of how to test a caliper.... so decided to pull all the front brake pads out and I cut pine wood pieces to slip into place of them. Then I started the car in mash down the brakes several times and pulled the wood pieces to see which ones were different.. here you can see what most of the four wood pieces look like with about a 16th to an eighth depression in the wood

and here it is the front left side... barely a depression... so I swapped out that caliper and breaking his back to 100%

Forgot....Got front castor correction installed before trip. However, with pulling a trailer going down the hills without load had a pretty good sound coming out of the front end. Time to put a different driveshaft in and see what it does...

Installed a tatton double Cardon driveshaft. Only issue was the anti rollbar was going to hit the driveshaft at full drop, so cut another 3/8 to drop spacer.
