Just one thing to note about the Donaldson Power-core filters. They aren't cleanable as they actually encapsulate dust and need the filter core changed. Vs the normal radial Donaldson filters that you can bang the dust out and keep going for a bit longer.
I looked long and hard at these before finally going to a Donaldson FPG radial type.
What size did you use? Or would you recommend for a 1hz with a turbo?
Want to improve the flow while maintaining good filtration of course.
My BILs work sells Donaldson filters so I can pick up everything I need for a good price.
I'm tight for space so I went for the FPG 082526. It's got less rated flow than I need for a 4BD1T at 35psi, but I just can't fit anything bigger so I'll put up with the higher suction loss at high rpm (which I'll almost never use).
I was amazed how good the price on that Donaldson FPG was.
What's your equation for flow rate? engine volume x max rpm? What do you do to account for boost? I've seen people add 6% per every 1psi of boost.
What kind of boost are you pulling down with that ?yup still running my drinking straw 3" top ram safari snorkel and the FZ lid mod.
Limiting factor is the snorkel, can't justify the moonlight box at this point as it would cost me upwards of $1000 for an airbox to canada. no thanks.
20lbs
Is the FZ lid really that much larger ?I have the FZ lid ready to go in, just gotta figure the vacuum hoses and other bits attached to the diesel lid that the FZ lid didn't have
YesIs the FZ lid really that much larger ?
