What does you being an a-hole have to do with me posting nonsense on here? :flipoff2:
Shouldn't you be over in the t4r forums or whatever there is for non land cruiser owners? 🤣

It's basically a land cruiser- it comes off of the same Tahara factory assembly line as the 200, and the 150. Besides, have you seen the average 4R owner, or even the average 4R off roaders? Way better to hang with the TLCA guys. And I am really trying to turn this in on a 200... maybe even a 100 series... maybe even a GX460 (which I would definitely insist is an actual "light duty/Prado" UN/NATO approved Land Cruiser). And - actually - I kind of like the 4R's rear locker and manual transfer case- the downsides being it rides pretty rough and isn't as strong as an actual land cruiser.

I also do plan to have a classic cruiser at some point down the road. Aiming for a Mustard Yellow 40... And, I know you were being rhetorical, but over the last 4 years I've learned most of you scoundrels names so it's not really worth it to leave to hang out with guys that aren't as big a-holes but also don't know as much as the TLCA crowd AND I'd have to learn names all over again (the struggle is real)!

Besides MUD is the reason I even got that GX470. I'd been lurking on MUD's 80 forum since about 2005 before finally joining in 2018. And I was SUPER stoked to get the GX and join MUD in 2018. I definitely don't plan to leave MUD for another forum. So- get used to me- someday I might have an actual Land Cruiser. We'll get there eventually.
You should buy my 94 FZJ80 and rock that out! Keep your 4runner or even buy a commuter car. It will out wheel that 4runner, already lifted too. :)

Talking about out wheel, you should have seen @afgman786 200 sliding all over the mountain the other day while the locked 4R easily out wheeled it all day long. Just sayin...

Do you have link to the 80?

One of the weak points on 200s. At least the earlier ones. The center diff can have issues engaging when you push the button

Did the CDL light just flash without engaging or didn't even flash? Did you open up and clean the connectors?

I assume you went through this thread?

One too many fires in that one to make my wife ok with it. But nice looking truck and good to see it was saved and restored to working order.

However, if you were to let it go for a buddy buddy price I would buy it and not mention the fire thing to her. Does it smell smoky? Are there smoke marks and melty bits still under the hood?

Yup just flashing. Yea I've seen that thread, haven't done it yet because usually it starts to work by the 2nd or 3rd time I try and cycle the button. That's why I kept turning the 200 on and off. Just didn't like the cold. But it engaged perfectly fine the next day in my neighborhood, was able to get over the curb no problem!

Sounds like a lubrication problem. As in contacts need clean up and grease. Maybe as the remaining grease warms up it helps the little (plastic?) gears move or the contacts to connect? Or maybe the metal expanding with heat helps the contacts to connect?

I was bad enough that we had to worry about assholes cutting off catalytic converters... now we gotta look out for assholes drilling the gas tanks.

I saw yesterday that the new Hummer EV weighs over 9,000 lbs.:oops::oops::oops: and makes 1,000 hp. blasting 0–60 in 3 seconds.

Did you guys see this video? Really puts into perspective how fast EVs actually are. Racing an E39 M5 that was the fastest sedan in the world when it came out in a 1/4 mile drag race, except that the EVs start when the M5 crosses the line already doing 70 MPH.

Also from Jason Camisa. The rivian beating a raptor while pulling a gmc cyclone

It’s in kilometers so not as impressive (207,000ish miles) but a cool photo opportunity regardless! It happened just as I was making my turn off the main road and I was able to pull over. :)
