Recently, I took an incredible trip to Telluride, CO. The beautiful drive started in Phoenix, AZ, and took us from the desert and the land of Saguaro cacti up through the high country of Northern Arizona. We then traveled through the Navajo Nation, and not far from Monument Valley. We stopped at Canyon de Chelly for lunch to take in the stunning view. From there, we continued into Southwestern Colorado, through the San Juan Mountains, and finally into Telluride. We stayed at a VRBO for the first couple of days and then camped. My 100 series, lovingly named Fiona, was packed with gear and just about everything else, including my beloved mountain bike. There’s nothing this rig can’t handle!

What on Earth is that guy in the 100 trying to do? Total his car? Is that Windrock?
I was gonna ask...did he choose where he was? or end up there? Because it looks like the move is to straddle it like a wedge.
This was Windrock Trail 30 or 35, I believe the plan was to straddle it, but the outer side of the rut got progressively steeper as the rut kept going. Unfortunately the grey 100 took some gnarly body damage on the driver’s side, and once backed out, hugged the outer side of the rut instead of trying to straddle it, which worked okay.

However, it turns out it was also possible to just hang left and avoid the rut entirely.

Any info on that sweet previa?

It’s actually a JDM Toyota Town Ace. 4x4 w/transfer case, smaller than a Hi Ace. It did really good but it needed some rock stacking in a few spots.

A guy in a G550 AMG on portals also showed up. He goosed it over that same “obstacle” and blew up the idler gears in the RR portal, locking the wheel up.

Found the trailer brake plug on my 2005 LX470. Installed the TBC from my tundra so I can tow the Girl Scouts float on Saturday. Tested the 2865 springs by towing my Kubota across town. It sits perfectly level when on the road, this picture was on an incline.
