It's a miracle! "D" light started working again at 255K...lol. Can't say I really missed it.

Some going over the land in my home state MN in the Chippewa National Forest, found a great campsite right on the lake. Didn't realize how much trails are up here, they're all pretty tame but there is a lot. Hopefully can get back next year and do a route from here to the Iron Range/North Shore Superior and maybe hit the UP on the way back home. Heading out today to finish the last 1,400 miles of our 3,000 mile trip. Should cross 529,000 miles when we get back to VA.

HAH! Mine has been MIA since I bought the car almost 2 years ago and recently came back on a few months ago and still kicking, albeit much dimmer than the other lights.

new altinator ? mine came back too after that change

Nothing has changed. I replaced the CDL sensor about 2K miles ago to get that light working again. Probably not related.

- My Theory -
It's been pretty hot lately, probably thermal expansion finally got it to make good contact again. Will be interesting to see if it goes back off when cooler weather hits.

Funny you mention this. My oil pressure gauge works in the morning on first startup a few days in a row. So you might be onto something

probs near right. How does it explain how mine permanently works now though.. Current + thermal expansion + oxidisation (some level of resistance in the circuit?)

Idk ;)

Fun in the mountains and mud. Pictures from yesterday's Rigs and Coffee meet trail ride.

When and where can we see the full trip report? Your truck is probably the most accomplished example of 100 series here.
