Did you catch anything? Where did you get that rod holder? Looks like it clears the tailgate just right!
Yeah just a bluefish. Almost had another as well.

Rod holder is from my Dad. He fab’d it for his sequoia but it fits the cruiser wonderfully even with the tailgate down. It has a few positions, straight up (for driving), angled back (shown) and on the ground. When it’s angled back, you can open the hatch and tailgate without hitting the rods.

I couldn’t find any info on what other guys were doing for rod holders so I’d be interested to see what else is out there. I’m glad we had this one for the trip though!

OK fess up which one of you parked like this?

How do they not get all tangled up and how far out to sea do the lines go? That photo fascinates me.
Those rods aren’t being used - just there for storage. If we had a line in the water, we placed the rod in a sand spike closer to the water. But we probably could have put them in the hitch holder! Maybe we should have.

How did you like the dobinsons setup?
The whole setup worked really well. Completely changed the attitude of the whole vehicle. Took a little bit to get used to a firmer ride, but made a huge difference off road. 100% glad I did it! Rear bumper with tire carrier and sliders next. Thanks for asking!
