Next project arrived from Australia. Thank you @frankenyota and @matt tin !! Matt tin went above-and-beyond and I owe him big time.

Over the next few weeks I'll sand it all down, prime, paint it Heath Grey, install a new screen with the new weatherstrip I already have and whack it on the Paki Pig.

One of my favourite parts of my LX was the three wipers; soon I'll have another bit of the soul of my favourite 40 chasing out the evil spirits of the Paki Pig.

Now you need to set it up with intermittent wipers.

Sadly, I had an entire intermittent 40 series system with a brand new timer and intermittent switch (4 positions: off, int, low, high) in my parts stash. I sold it about 10 years ago. I wish I'd been smart enough to hold on to many of the rare parts I had like you've done.

Ciest le vie Johnny.

Cleaned all the window adhesive off. Very, very happy with the condition: not a single spot of rust.

Glad it is rust free for you mate👍
I still have to finish painting my triple wiper screen and get it fitted.
I'm just thankful you've got your finger on all things 40 in Qld.

I am back from Mardi Krawl, so time for some pictures for the public!
Exhuast process.. all tubing is Vibrant USA 304, back-purged and TIG welded

No good pics of this but all the hangers/isolators are OEM 80 series cushions on custom brackets. I think there are two or three thoughout the system.

this 43 also did not have a charcoal canister, but had provisions for one in the cab and the lines were just left open... Canister is from 90's Corolla. Bracket designed and 3d printed. Justin put it in a spot where it landed perfectly, exactly in the way of where Josh and I had been discussing a future custom cold air intake duct  Not his fault, I was out wheeling the whole time this was getting put in :)

More stainless tubing and OEM clip action of course.

That looks better than the cold air intake would have anyway. Justin does good work, looks really nice! Hopefully on the road soon, looks like she's nearly done!

Beautiful, high and tight.
I must be doing something wrong, I couldn't tig bare handed if my life depended on it, I burn my hands with gloves on.

water-cooled torch and this is probably only 40-50a on pulse so not a lot heat.

Does the pulse help?
I've got an ancient syncrowave 250 with a water cooled torch, built before pulse was even a glimpse in Mr Millers eye probably.

I used to love welding, but with my tremors these days it would look like a blind 90 year old with Parkinson's did it!!! Or a very nervous dirt dobber / mud wasp.
