I added some weld washers then I made a clean template and took it to the water jet shop today 👍 I also took it for another 30 mile drive yesterday and it is running great 😃. Finally we are getting traction again and moving forward .

For some reason my notifications turned off for this thread even though it is still on my watch list so I stopped by to see how things were going. What a difference from when I was here last!!!!! It is looking amazing. I’m glad that you got the rear suspension sorted out. Your welds look fantastic!

Thank you . I am actually now enjoying this 40.

What weight rear coils did you go with again and how do you like the ride? Is it firm/soft?
I have to look But i want to say they are 175/300 . It rides Great . I plan on having the coilovers tuned at some point . I think that the fronts need more compression but that is because i originally was going to use these with the triple bypass shocks . Its only when i hit things at speed do i notice it Like if i was going to jump it :steer: . Right now i am sitting at 24 inch to my frame I personally think it looks better a little taller and will keep the tires from rubbing in the rear . ( I can not feel it at all when it rubs But can see it ) I have 5 inches of shock shaft showing now at ride height . and i am at 99" Wb I could probably get it to 100 if i adjusted the front a little more :hmm:. Maybe . Ideally i would love to be at 112 but that is a entirely different build . Actually i am building the Blue 40 this winter and have seriously thought about doing just that

Nice update! Im nervous that my springs are too light but that isn’t something to worry about until much later. Ha! I’m sitting at 150/150 rear and 125/185 front. My wheelbase is 109 and I wish that I had gone with the longer tub now that I’ve decided not to use FJ43 soft top parts. 112” wheelbase sounds perfect to me. I can’t wait to see your progress on Blue. I’ll have to search for that thread.

Having trouble getting the front metal piece that connects to the fiberglass top . This top did not have it but i can see where the old one went It almost like this metal piece is to wide ?

Not sure how this fits 🤷‍♂️
