IMO lose the in tank, get a e2000 or a bosch and put on rail with filter, more easier to service, dont put that filter in the tool box, put it underneath where it belongs.
Although I suppose you have access to and are familiar with the intank pump so meh ? There is a metal strainer instead of that plastic/fabric whatever it is, they all fill up and cause flow issues in my exp. Also, keep it off the floor of the tank
The intank is fine its not really hard to get to it . The Filter will be fine in the tool box . Honestly i could leave it where its at now and it would be fine just kinda a pain to take the Tuffy box out . I am guessing it will be a long time before i need to change the filter again . Holley has sent me a new pump so i will have a spare. . Also the filter that they come with Is Not the hydromat. That is a Upgrade . I was unaware of that.

I was able to get a filter today. put everything back together and took her for a 15 mile rip . Of coarse its raining today , first rain of the season but i went anyways . Its running great :steer: The tool for the trans seal will be here Wed so i can fix that . Then i am adding the hip guards to my cage ( still on the fence about the seat cradle ). then pull the cage for PC. I am supposed to go to Moab next week ? Then i think her next time out will be the first of the year for Winter snow fest . I need to get the top on for that and figure out some heat.

With Winter approaching and a Jan. Snow wheeling event . And after driving around in the rain yesterday. I decided to see if I could get my Wipers to work 🤷‍♂️. The wires are cut off so I don’t exactly know what does what. But I did get them to work by putting + to the blue with red stripe and ground to blue white or blue black 😃. I will have to figure out what does what with the switch. I ordered a new one today . I have a red wire also that plugs into something I have no idea what 🤷‍♂️. I then refurbished some oe spray nozzles 😃. More so to fill the holes in my hood but now I kinda want to make them work 😃

My new Harness from Holley arrived today 😃. This will really clean up the wiring And with longer coil. Wires will allow me to move my cd ignition box inside and off my firewall . Will it change anything 🤷‍♂️ most likely not but it will clean things up and keep it away from the heat . As much as I have struggled with the Holley I have to say there techs have been fantastic to work with and they have sent all of this at no charge . I believe this is the First sniper 2 harness that is plug n play with the complete hyperspark ignition 😃.

Trans seal tool arrived 😃

And to give me something to do Heads are ordered and will decide on a cam after speaking with them 🤷‍♂️. It’s all for fun 🤩

Well that went about as expected 🤦🏻‍♂️. What am I missing here 🤦🏻‍♂️. This looks nothing like any other TH400 shift shaft seal 😳.

Not supposed to have to do that. i am going to see if there is just paint or something i am missing. .

Ok after doing some digging i found the the early 1964-67 TH400 used a o-ring on the shaft that is difficult to get :D This excites me . And i need to drop the pan and take it apart .

Its not that hard, you have to take a few things apart under the trans filter and the shaft comes out. IIRC something has pressure or a spring and needs to be pulled apart careful as to not send small parts flying.

So i cleaned everything real good last night to be sure its got a leak at the shift shaft and i am in luck :D It has a small leak nothing crazy. so i will get to take it apart :bounce:. I also noticed that i have a leak at the kickdown switch .. It also has a o-ring . I then set off to find these unicorn horns , First stop transmission shop . He knew what i was talking about and he did have the kickdown o-ring but not the shift shaft . I then headed to the Chevy dealer :steer:. Now this actually scares me but i walked out laughing . The parts guy DID NOT ! Know what a TH400 transmission was . Umm This was the Chevy Dealer He asked Another guy and he said look under 1997 Truck :hmm:. I Said I do not Believe They Made the TH400 trans in 1997 but i would look at say 64 -80 K-30. instant deer in the headlights . He could not find the button for a #1 with a large Coke . and was not sure what Truck the land cruiser was :hmm:. I wished him luck and walked out . Next stop the Auto parts store . He knew what i wanted but could not find it in the computer for a part number but said to just bring it in and they can match it . When i got home i just went online and found that there is a Kickdown Delete kit . Checked Summit and they had it so that will be here Tomorrow . . I then took her for about a 30 mile ride :steer: and its running great . I never ever thought i would be driving this on the road but its so much fun . The Sniper 2 has been great . Oh and i ordered some other stuff on Monday from a company I will keep them Nameless since the owner is a friend . I got my order conformation and Normally at most it takes 2 days to get the stuff . Well i noticed i never got a tracking number and if i look at my order history this was not showing . So i called today and gave them my Confirmation number and he said yes i see you ordered on Monday . Yep i agree . He said yes we have 6 in stock. .Yep I agree thats what it showed when i ordered :geek: I then said do you think it would be possible to actually put those on the truck to ship to me LOL OH ya. sorry will get those out today . Build a 40 they said It will be Fun they said hahahah.

Congrats on getting the Sniper worked out. Perseverance will get you everywhere.

Sniper 2 is good :steer:

Now what is he doing you may ask 🤔. Well I am making stuff 😃. My rear coil overs are fine ,BUT I want to raise the rear about a inch and I want to do that without loosing Droop So some new rear shock mounts will bring the coil over back a little and up a little and are much beefier. This will allow my coil over to be a little more vertical as well . Also Much more weld surface .

Beefy!!

Something else I was not real happy with but I didn’t really know what else to do with it at the time . Now that I have had some time I think I am going to make a new mount Again it works fine But it can and will be better. And more surface area . Once I get a good template made I will have some water jetted out
