I was aiming for 150:1, which is still too low in hindsight. There was a mixup at the transmission shop and AA that got me to 187:1. I can drop my rear gearbox to 1.5:1 and achieve 132:1. 🤷‍♂️

What bore is your brake master? I like it and I’ll need something larger to work those 1-ton brakes.

I was 150:1 with my old setup. It was very nice on a manual. I'm now 186:1 with my auto, but I have a lot more gears to choose from now. and can get that ranging a lot more.

I have FJ cruiser brakes on this .( Same as Tundra ) I was having a issue with the brakes feel. but i found a issue the front line is leaking so i need to fix that . Who ever owned this 40 before put lines in that had metric and standard . Why do people do things like this ugg . I will run ALL new lines I just needed to be able to have it stop well enough to drive on the trailer tomorrow so i can get the exhaust done Monday
I think that I started the confusion. For some reason I thought that @Firemedic831 had 1-ton brakes. I will continue with my GM master.

Good to know! Thanks for the info. I suppose that I shouldn’t worry about it until I am on the road again.

Off to see the Wizard 🤫. I will be starting from scratch with the brakes 🤯. All new lines. Get rid of everything. Just not sure if I should just run braided lines throughout 🤷‍♂️ Pretty much hate the old steel lines right now 🤦🏻‍♂️

so are you not doing diamond up front? if so, is it going to still fit the exhaust? perspective.

Yes diamond up front. Yes it will fit. I actually have the upper link mount in on the frame and the link will run to the top of the diff. should be plenty of room here is a pic

I see leafs, are you going to link it?
Still trying to figure out how to do my headers and exhaust. Don’t have much room due to upper link on passenger side and drive shaft on drivers side. All the packaging is tight

Yes linking for sure I just had to get the exhaust in to get the EFI in i had the links mocked up Really i have no idea how to get the exhaust any tighter than i have it . from everything i can see everything should be ok . I just could not make the upper link work on the drivers side with the oil filter and everything. but i can come off the diff and i have much more room

My goal is still 4 inches of up travel and the rest droop and it should be good . If it does not work well i am running open headers and will get a big rebel flag :D
