Cruiser envy!! Love this build. Maybe I'll see you and it at cruiser fest?

x2 Casey, you going to CF15? You should join us on the Moab to CF run!

I'd like to do this, but if everything works right I will be setting up a tent/spot for Trail-Tailor when the caravan arrives on Friday. Not sure I want to transport all my gear the entire way. Need to visit with the wife on getting all the vendor goods to Tooele and I need to make some inquiries on more info, being my first year and a vendor to boot. Hoping to donate a bumper, roof rack or sliders -- or a combo etc...

@cruiseroutfit -- Kurt, I will call you this week to review a parts list for the 40 I need and pick your brain on vendor questions I have. Also, I have 6-9 customers that are tentatively wanting to join the event this year as 1st timers and a couple of repeaters to help me show off my products.

Kurt, the wife and I will be there. We are just deciding if we want to bring both rigs or just Stoffel. We would love to join you guys for the Moab run, but we have another vacation planned the week after Cruiserfest so we are a little short on time off.

Jason, if you need some help with logistics or booth help let us know! If you want/need I can store some stuff at my house and bring it with. Just a thought!

I finally got the alignment done today and I got a new exhaust. 3 inch straight pipe from the turbo back! It sounds great and seems to have a bit more power. It is definitely noticeable on the highway when you get on it, but it sounds......natural. It's louder, but not in a bad way. The wife even likes it!!

Love the straight pipe!

While we were there Stoffel found a long lost brother from the homeland! HJ61 brothers!!

Looking good!!
Did you weld straight to the dump pipe manifold flange -for the exhaust, or another solution?
I did it that way, was surprised how big the dump off the turbo was!

What a cruiser meet!

They had to fab up a special flange to attach to the dump pipe, but it was not welded on. Here is a quick photo with the heat shield back on.

Rad. I want to give it a spin with the 3"... that is on my "wish-list" for the Red Dragon.

After months of waiting Stoffel is finally here!! 1989 HJ61 with 166km (about 103k miles) and factory cable lockers. This was purchased from Steve at Land Cruisers Direct. He was great to work with, especially the second time around. Anywho, this is just the beginning for the wife and I. We plan on building this rig up to expedition quality and traveling with it for many, many years. I'm sooooooooo freaking excited!!!!!

That is a beautiful 60 series. Haven't read the rest of this thread, but my hope is that you'll keep it looking just like that.

Casey, how are you liking the Pioneer setup in your HJ?

I need to get a new head unit and would love to hear your opinion/was it a direct fit?

PS see ya at CruiserFest!!!

The wife and I love the Pioneer head units. I put one in both my HJ61 and her BJ71. We don't use the DVD at all, but we really like the touch screen and the bluetooth for the phone. Direct fit in both rigs.

Well, it's changed a bit from that photo. New bumpers, sliders, a lift, etc. but the color is the same! Lol

...@cruiseroutfit you can take mine for a spin as well at CF15 - HJ61: 3" straight pipe, 11psi, intercooled, and snorkel.

I'll take you up on that!

It's gotten so much neater, you're truck was a fave at our BBQ

So, it's been a little while since I updated this thread. I haven't added a whole lot since the exhaust because of out of town work. I did however add some kick ass LED overhead lights,

I also developed a small coolant leak that led me on quite the journey. A bypass hose and two water pumps later it's all good! Lol

Last month I finally got around to installing the on board air that the wife got me for an anniversary present! She knows me so well (thanks to Kurt at Cruiser Outfitters for helping her out on that one)! Lol

And this weekend (weather and family permitting), I am going to attempt to finally install the Tuffy center console and the CB radio that I bought months ago. Thanks to Jason (@reevesci ), for the CB antenna mount. I'm still undecided on the rear heater bypass. I want to remove it, but it's such a PITA! I also just ordered two new Odyssey group 65 batteries! Lol

Removing the rear heater isn't that bad. Let me know if you want me to post some pics of how I bypassed the hoses in the engine bay.

Getting those corroded hoses out from underneath actually clears up quite a bit of room!

That would be great! I have seen plenty of 2F pics, but not many with the 12H-T done. I'll take any help I can get!
