Man, the snow and wind has been BRUTAL over the last few weeks. We shoveled 3 times today and it already has another 3" or so on it now. 4000 sq ft at a time and by hand IS A PITA!!!

J

It didn't snow a whole lot here today but the wind drifted the snow all over the place. This morning's commute to the office was about 35 mins vs the usual 15 mins. Hence the reason I said screw trying to get to the jobsite in the govment work truck! Lol I did try to shovel this afternoon, but by the time the wind stopped we had patches of grass showing through but there was a 3' snow drift in the driveway. I had to go shovel that again this evening.:bang:

Installed the Tuffy 8 inch center console this weekend. Pretty happy with the results!! Hopefully next week I can get the CB wired in and antenna installed!

Finally got around to installing the CB antenna today using Jason's (@reevesci) antenna mount. Hopefully this weekend I'll get the CB wired up and be able to talk to all the truckers!!

NICE! Just make sure you get a good ground. 90% of the problem I and others encounter are ground related.

Yeah, I guess I'm a bit lost on that. The only ground I removed went to the power antenna that I removed so I didn't think I needed to add another one back. Plus the new mounting bracket is attached to the chassis, that is grounded, or so I thought.....

Some CB units themselves require a ground, not just the antenna. Yours may not. You antenna ground sounds good.

I have never been a fan of the chrome trims (I have nearly fully de-chromed my 'Gunmetal Grey' hj61), however whenever i look at photos of yours I love it more every time, and wonder if I have done the right thing.... (I keep telling myself it looks so good because of the black, and it wouldn't be the same on sun-faded grey)..... Also - in your photos of the Tuffy install, there is a hole visible in the dash below the 4high press button. I have the same and have always wondered what it was for when new?? Drew

I have the same hole. It appeared to be a switch that didn't work anything. It was likely for aux lights.

I'm not sure what the hole was for, but the wife's BJ71 has it in the same spot.

Well, don't get too fond of that chrome. I have a few "ideas" to deal with that! ;)

So, it's been a while since I have added to this thread........because I haven't done jack squat for the past couple of months!!! :(:( Between me working out of town and a disaster in the house (swamp cooler leak=livingroom ceiling coming out) poor Stoffel has been a bit neglected lately. Until today!!! Sometimes it's just the little things that can make you happy.

Last week I ordered some new front window runs and weatherstripping for all 4 door from @beno and they arrived this week. Today I decided to dig in and replace all the ordered parts. In a few weeks the wife and I will be taking a trip to Oregon and I wanted to replace the window runs to reduce the road noise and while I was at it I might as well get rid of the chrome weatherstripping on all four doors. After a bit of help from @reevesci I got the job done. It's a subtle difference in appearance, but the road noise @ 75mph is greatly reduced!! And I'm happy with the look. After this I'm thinking most of the chrome "accents" are going to go away. :D

Also, after I got stuck in the mud a while back the wife went and bought me these and told me to stop getting stuck! Lol

I'm thinking about keeping the mirrors, the door handles, and the gutter trim in chrome and getting rid of the rest. The front grille is yet to be determined....
