The best way to change is to ask Woody to change your username. Then you get to keep all your settings and post-count.

I did. Woody gave me a solid no. Says if he does it for one person.......

Yeah - he told me to just re-register. But I only had a couple of posts and one thread:flipoff2:;)

Got to see these at home on my much better monitor. The paint and color look great!

OK, I was wrong about the username thing.:whoops:

Might keep the name cuz I haven't thought of a better one. Not really worried about my post count so no issue there.

I was thinking about doing a black leather interior but now I'm thinking tan. Eventually I'll paint the interior (probably this winter) to match the outside. Black will be a PITA to keep clean. Used tan leather seats seem to be cheaper and easier to find than black. Any thoughts on the tan?

Found a pair of brand new black leather buckets from a limo conversion company from a Lincoln navigator. never used for $300 pr. Getting them today. Buying a 1973 blazer back seat with the armrests that I'll get re-covered. Score!

Wll done Salty!

Keep those photos flowing- can't wait to see the Great Pumpkin/navigator interior- black and orange.. it will be a great ornament to put on the front stoop for next holloween:)

I've got SR5 4 Runner seats in my HJ47, and I've always wanted to cover then in leather.... hmmm.

Cheers,

Josh

Got the seats here and now I'm wondering if they'll fit. Look very cushy but we'll see if I can squeeze them in. They were dirt cheap and new.

Saw th ePumkin first hand yesterday. it even looks good in person. the crew cabs have grown on me great truck John tht one is a keeper.

I ended up buying a set of Caddy CTS black leather seats today. power, heated, etc. cushy! Need to get some welding done before I install them so might be a couple months before they are officially installed.

Gonna sell the Navigator seats. they're nice but I got an even better deal on the Caddy seats. Make an offer on the navigator seats and they're yours!!

Got about 5 hrs into the paintjob so far. Foggie helped me put the rack back on yesterday so it looks really good.

Motor swap starts Friday!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!

Title issue has been solved and should be good to go next week.

Randy- Swing by for the motor swap....should be a controlled disaster!

DEFINITELY A KEEPER!!!! Quote me on that.....then use it against me later.....

Salty,

Does it still fit in your garage with the rack? I wound up building a garage with an 8' door so i could park Patches inside...the things we do.

I'd love to see a picture of it with the rack- but I guess you are too busy regularly changing your avatar.:)

I'm with Fogblanket- the crew cab is growing on me. I reckon you should keep this one too.:D

Cheers,

Josh

The truck will just fit under my 8' garage door. Double checked the height before I put the bigger tires on it.

I'll be taking pics all day tomorrow during the motor swap.

No, It's still a photo of my soul but I feel much younger and greasier lately

I'll take you up on the welding skills for the sliders I have in mind......

Bumper?

jsaltlick

what's the deal with that front bumper on the pumpkin? I've seen it on a half dozen other trucks - all 45's. Is it a vintage aftermarket piece or something more recent? If you scroll through the sticky "owners post here" in the 45 owners group section you will find five or six exactly the same.

just curious - it looks quite stout - a real Roo-catcher:confused:

Not sure what company the bumper came from but every truck has them down under. Kangaroos are as common as squirrels but make a bigger mess when you hit them. Mine has a bunch of really good dents in it. Definitely aftermarket though. I usually don't like the design of the kangaroo bars but this particular one I do like and will probably keep it on.

VERY PISSED OFF.....motor swap is cancelled indefinitely.

My mechanic looked at the motor mounts on the crew cab VS the mounts on the 40 donor vehicle. Nothing matched up so everything will have to be cut, re-welded or fabbed. He isn't confident in his welding abilities so he'll have to sub out the welding which is fine. Rather have it done perfectly the first time.

My mechanic has 2 other projects sitting in the garage that he was supposed to finish last week and didn't. He has at least a week left on an old MG he's restoring for someone. That one has to be finished before anything new.

Basically this means I'll be running on the Holden engine and a 3 speed for the FG. Not f-ing happy. Holden needs some tuning which I didn't think I'd have to do. I just have the gut feeling that the crew cab is going to be towed back to my house from the FG.

hafta drop the truck off in November probably and leave it for a while.
