I ended up with a Beretta a300 Outlander, and Patrick's Baikal MP320 over/under, both 12 gauge. Went out this morning to Fork Stables, shot a course and some trap with my mid son, great time and awesome guns.
True to form, I had to do something to personalize/modify anything I touch. I think I set a new personal record, under 48 hrs.
While cycling the lever, the back of the hand can take some abuse, particularly during quick cycling. And, being built as a "guide gun", having 8' of 550 is never a bad thing to have handy. Lucky that I had some on hand that almost matches the walnut...
I put the new lever on my Henry 22 and did some shooting here at the house for a bit. Much more comfortable than the small, standard loop. Even with gloves on it was comfortable. I love plinking with this 22
Good morning,
I used the search function and found several mentions of a gun trust but was looking for someone to mention an attorney they've used with success. I'd like to go SBR on the 9mm carbine im building and wanted to get a trust setup for my family moving forward.
Anyone know someone in the club or friend that can set these up?
Martin - My gun trust was created in KS. I had it done by an attorney for $200. I looked into having it moved to NC, but could not find a NC attorney that was reasonable and kinda gave up on it - local to this area attorney wanted ~$580.
I too would be interested in a NC-based gun trust attorney. Glad to also discuss my "learning's" with regards to SBRs, suppressors, etc, if ever wanted - or to just "shoot the stuff" about things
I also have a 9MM Lone Wolf AR pistol with the Sig Brace that is now i l l e g a l to shoulder. I am actually considering selling it or putting a longer barrel on it to avoid SBR.
SBR - short barrel rifle. Barrel inder 16" or rifle under 26" length
Gun trust- used to set up legal entity to comply with NFA and GCA for registering/liscensing class III weapons and accessories. It allows the use of NFA-regulated firearms and accessories among trustees, protects against potential future regulatory restrictions, and provides a way to transition ownership upon death
My gun guy buddy like the Redfield Counterstrike from Bass Pro for an inexpensive red dot/laser (under $200) and the EOTech 512 (under $500) for a red dot. His former profession gave him all kinds of high end goodies that he got used to, so I tend to listen when he likes something affordable. I honestly haven't looked into either yet so I don't know if one of them fits your needs. Let us know.

Thanks! So i have a paratrooper stock (not original/aftermarket) on one of my M1 Carbines that collapses and makes the gun ridiculously short....I guess i need to measure.

I'll throw fire on your question...never saw sights last long at that price point with my friends shooting "open" handguns in IPSC/USPSA events, the impulse from the rounds was too much. When I went thru this with my AR build, I went with a Trijicon Reflex with triangle reticle, no regrets. I know, way over your budget, yet, as much as you shoot, not sure those sights will last long without giving you issues.
