Thanks for all of the good words and support. Just getting back and getting some perspective. It would have been nice to win the game but some untimely (and uncharacteristic) turnovers wound up being the difference. We showed up (both as a team and alums / fans) and hopefully changed some minds about LOWF. :D

Either way, it was an amazing year to be a Wake alum. Having now been to an Orange Bowl and BCS bowl at that, I can now say I've done something I never thought I'd get to do.

Hopefully we'll follow this with some solid years in the next few and people will start to give us some respect.

Listening to Petrino in the weeks before the game, he might as well have predicted a 5 TD blowout. The looks on his face in the 4th quarter were priceless - doubt he thought they'd be trailing LOWF.

Unlike VT, I thought Wake and GT played very well in their bowl games. But, all three teams did lose.

Let's not forget that VT beat Wake (27-6) in Winston-Salem. Go Hokies !!!

Fun season for sure. S.E.C. put 9 in the bowls and won 6.
Not too shabby. The 3 losses could have easily gone the other way.
Gators showed why The Ohio State is 0 forever in bowl games against
the S.E.C. (0-8).
Southern Fried Football. Ya gotta love it!
Kudos to Wake.....they aren't LOWF anymore. :cheers:

Well, seeing how the Basketball team stinks in a major way,
I thought I'd bump this thread with some off season tidbits.
Lamecocks looking to have a top 10 recruiting class.
Garcia has now passed Korn in the rankings of incoming QBs too. :)
Willie is now rated #98 nationally.
Spiller is staying at CU...for now. It's a day to day thing, what with
all those coaches leaving CU and all. :grinpimp:
USC is still waiting on the #7 national and BEST player in S.C.
Carlos Dunlap. A beast of a defensive player. 5 star rated.
5 star WR Culliver just commited to USC as well.
 
We are very proud to have him as part of the team here in Atlanta... :rolleyes:
