i wanted to be the first to welcome you guys to the 1 loss club!!!!
I wanted you guys to do well this year but i was seriously sick of all the NC talk from clemson fans....seriously...an ACC national champ???? Come on!!!! I'd have better luck teaching my gold fish to ride a bike.
So...now the the stars are no longer aligned and your perfect season has ended i hope you guys can get your heads out of the clouds.
Up until tonight IMHO Clemson has not been tested. This is your first real test of the season and it didn't work out for you guys.
On S.Car's side of the ball....we came in and Tenn did exactly what i thought they would do...keep those safetys back and took #1 out of most of the ball game.
It took the old ball sack 2 qtrs to realize it but with a tenn d line and every other position of the volunteer team lacking depth.....RUN THE BALLL!!!!
I was really impressed with how Wilds ran with the ball. I was even more impressed with a few of his catches.
Once again the hawks in our back field got 2 picks. What we lack in line backers we make up for in front 4 pressure and deep backs.
It was no shocker to see shaw once again struggle passing, good call to use him on the ground the 2nd half.
I'd really like to see ingram and clowney out on the field at the same time all the time.
I'd rotate them in as middle line backer our OLB and really give some support on the inside run game.
But i guess if it isn't broke don't fix it....we keep all the games close enough as it is where we don't need 20 points to win our games most of the time.
Either way...welcome back to earth clemson fans!!!

Dude your crazy. You take three teams out of the sec west and you have the acc. Nothing special about the sec east. Dont ride the wests coat tails. Who has USC played? Auburn, Ga, ut? You havent been tested. Usc offense is week. Only thing keeping you winning games is ellis johnson.
Clemson struggled on defense. No doubt about it. Running qbs, the option, and giving up big plays is their down fall. GT did what they needed too, which was keep clemsons offense off the field. Congrats GT, you did everything you needed to. I have no doubt clemson will win out the rest of the regular season.

South Carolina does have to claw and crawl and fight for every single point they have.
But we are 7-1.
Georgia was a HUGE test. That Georgia team woke up after losing to boise and has not looked back.
Take the top 3 teams out of the SEC and you still have the SEC
Did you see what vandy did to Arkansas today? How about what Ole Miss did to Arkansas last week?
The grind it out SEC is tough top to bottom, they play each other tough every play of the game. There is a reason that more SEC players go pro than any other conference and they are not just playing on the same 3 top teams.
I'm optimistic about the rest of the season. After seeing what vandy (we held vandy to 3 points) did to arkansas i think we have a good chance. The Arkansas QB got banged up a bit today and will probably not like the pressure our big line will put on him.
We play florida at home.
And if we compare conferences...if you take the top teams out of the ACC you have what....wait....there really isn't a top team in the ACC anymore!!!

This was a freak thing. We all know CU has the FAR superior team and coaches.
Late November is going to be something to see.
Gamecocks ought to lose at least 2 more games PLUS CU will be 11-1.
Woe is dem po ol Lamecocks. Guess they'll be everybody's upset special again

Hell, they have been SOMEBODY's upset pick in just about every game.
I see CU as a 21-25 point favorite.

I saw those deep backs of gt take all the air out of Boyd's sails. How well do you think he will do at Willy b against a team that leads the nation in forced turnovers. Clemson is gonna fall like Mike Tyson back in the day it only took one loss to show how weak they are. The sec is not the acc and 8 wins are much harder to come by. Hope you guys can learn to stop the run by late Nov.
Don't be mad that the top 2 one loss teams in the ACC are ranked higher than the po' ole gamecocks.
Also, we didn't have a run game going. Without Ellington we were 1 dimensional and that allowed double coverage and Boyd to get rattled. GT played awesome, they knew exactly what they needed to do, and they executed. We couldn't defend when our stupid guys' are laying on the ground. GT has perfected the cut block, or whatever you call it, and works well with their triple option. Sometimes they are clicking, sometimes they aren't. They were firing on all 9 cylinders last night. Us, on defense as usual were not. Still happy with 8 wins, didn't expect to win more than 6 with this freshman class. Watkins is going to be taking to the house on the lamecocks for atleast 3 years.
Get ready for another 6 win streak for Clemson over Carolina.

It was a perfect storm. An unusual offense that would beat ANY
team. Good thing they are out of CU's way.

It's hard to be 8-0 in the sec.....what is Alabama and LSU then??? And if it were so easy how come every one in the ACC isn't 8-0......the Tigers will regroup and recover and go the distance!

i'm not sure there is anyone in the nation that is as good as Bama or LSU.
And it's not that easy to be 8-0 otherwise Clemson would still be living that pipe dream of a national title and S.Car would have scored 4 more points to beat auburn
and if my sister had balls she'd be my brother.

That is the Harris Poll, which most are unfamiliar with... Both USA Today and AP have Clemson outside the top 10, and USC in... On a side note the Cavs pulled one off!!!
The AP has NOTHING to do with the BCS. Only the Coaches and Harris along with the 6 computer rankings. It's understandable that you wouldn't be well versed in the BCS makeup since the Cav's have never even heard of it.
