gundy,
we have to drive 2 hours to take in a pro game and then its the royals...but always fun to watch the opponants....i watch more little league, high school and college baseball than pro...more excitement....the pro's sometimes seem scripted...today we head off at 1 for a bunting clinic.....than ku at 7pm for hitting clinic...than 9pm we finish the day with my sons pitching work out....a day full of baseball in feb...in kansas..is great

David you better build some multi million dollar facilities we already have them. They are already working on an outfield expansion too since we sell out every game. I think our stadium will be fully enclosed by seating within a few more years. We'll have more people at baseball games then basketball.

I remember full days of baseball in Feb. It would be bitter cold in VA where I lived snow on the ground and we'd be running sprints and stuff. It was fun though. After my 8th grade yr when I made varsity and had to play jv so as not to waste eligibility all the time and pressure and giving up other spring sports finally go to me.

Two tickets need!

Hey, can one of youse Clemson Mafia wise guys hook
me up with a couple of tickets for the March 3rd
USC at CU baseball game? I don't care where the seats are
located. Preferably someone (hint Richard) would want to attend
and get ajoining seats. I promise I'll behave, win or lose. :grinpimp:
I'll send the $ if needed in advance. It's a 2:00 Saturday game
and should be a doozy. Hope youse mafia wise guys have some connections.
I'm sure it will be a sellout. Come on guys...take me out to a ballgame. :)
Think how much fun ragging on the old geezer would be. ;)

I'll see what I can come up with David. As students we dont pay for tickets so its a little different. We dont get baseball tickets in advance. Standing/sitting in the outfield is always free though. ;) If you can handle the bombardment of Clemson homerun balls. We might see a lot of them with that USC pitching staff.

Yee haa

I appreciate it Pal! If worse comes to worse lynn and I will try
the outfield thing, but she'd really like seats if possible. :princess:
The idea of dodging all those rocket blasts from CU batters
doesn't appeal to her. ;)
Let me know if any are available and I'll act on the info pronto.
Again, thanks!

Alright David I talked to my buddy who is a rabid fan and goes to almost every home game. He said the best bet for the USC game would be to sit in the outfield. Otherwise we'd need to be out there like 2 hrs before first pitch and I MIGHT be able to get a couple of "date" tickets but the chnces would be slim. I'll check on tigernet in the ticket section and see if anyone wants to sell some of their season tickets for that game. That might be the best bet for picking up a few easily.

Thanks for getting me the "skinny" on tickets! I might go early to see if
we can get seats and if not hit the outfield.
LOL....the ranks of undefeated baseball teams just got smaller by one.
El Cid shot down the Cocks. USC blew a 6-1 lead. Gotta have pitching.
Starters, middle relief and closers. They could have used a hard throwing lefty. ;)
Dang, and here I thought USC would go all season undefeated. :grinpimp:
I think they still wound up #1 in all the polls. LOL....polls closed before the game was over. Maybe CU can get a re-count. ;) I hope both teams are 1 or 2 March 3rd.
It's a long way to Omaha.

my hard throwing lefty is still 4 seasons away fellas...i asked what he thought about clemson...he said he never really thought much about clemson....i then asked about usc baseball...excpecting to hear some california comment...his reply...the cocks rock!...so apparently he is watching that university...it will be cool to see how it goes for him....he was at ku yesterday from about 7pm til 11pm...hitting clinic than pitching...he sure does like the crimson and blue...i have no preference...whatever he wants is cool with me....the hawks are scheduled to play south dakota state today here in kansas...yea right...there field still had snow on it last night....they head out to stanford at the end of the week...

LOL, boom goes the dynamite!! This should be fun... :grinpimp:

I swear that world series loss to them a few yrs ago hurt us. But its ok cause we have won every game since then. 4 yrs is a long time for things to change. Especially if oneof us snags a world series before then.

Ahh!

How about them Heels!

Dang, it's going to be fun this summer around these parts.
Heels and Cocks baseball in the regionals should set the stage
the football matchup this fall at Chapel Hill.
I personally wish USC played UNC in all sports. It is such a natural rivary
being neighbors and all.
Go Heels! Do the Heels and Tigers play a series this year? I know
ya'll are in different divisions.
Oh, and Richard.......wish in one hand and crap in the other. See which
one fills up first. :flipoff2:
Cocks finally get a home game this year. Series with Central Mich this weekend
as they warmup for the Tigers.

No series with UNC until the acc tourney. That'll be one hell of a series when we get there. Were warming up for USC with high point, pacific, and winthrop. I think they have like 8 combined wins and about 15 losses.

ku south dakota state games cancelled today...rescheduled for wed....then they head for stanford!...now those should be some good games!...anyone notice that there a 3 big 12 schools in the top 20 along with wichita state...not bad for middle america!

Yeah, but none of the aforementioned schools need a hard throwing lefty like the Gamecocks. ;)
Middle America does play good ball. I wouldn't be surprized to see one or two
make it to Omaha.

ok you win gundy...jake read through this thread and has oficially added the gamecocks to his list of colleges to visit/check out...he is submitting his freshman resume via email to the coaching staff...so we shall see...i just can't imagine that the kansas schools are gonna let him get away...but hell i have no loyalty here...i'm a buckeye!....i think all the big 12 schools have good baseball programs....i don't know if they are omaha good but they are good...there is a good tourney this weekend at the legends field in tampa....ohio state, james madison, seaton hall and kansas state...the buckeye classic...if i did not have a graduation party to pay for in may jake and i would be there!...my daughter graduates from high school and is headed to ottawa university here in kansas....and our high school season officially begins monday morning!
