Sweet you will have to give us a review on the LOKKA.. Would be interested in seeing how it performs on wet streets (if it has the typical locker chirp).

Hey HJ60, I saw earlier in the thread that you posted about teh fuel and temp gauges spiking. I started having the same problem in my HJ60 recently. I assume the cluster needs to be taken out and contacts cleaned? I didnt really understand how you fixed it from your post. I need to do the fix soon.

yes gregnash, I am just scared about the result, will start tomorrow. can I trailer our boat to Croatia 4000 kilometers?, take corners, can I drive on ice?
Just seems that before every corner release the clutch pedal (like thought in driving lessons long time ago)

Mongoose the spiking came back a little few times, but not annoying, just move the steering to lower, release the whole clock , make sure you have enough slack on the speedo cable to fiddle, I did a tiny bit of grinding.

And I need the lokka! The test ground facility is more than ready :steer:

You post the best photos. Mud like we don't have in Colorado, USA. Great tunnel/war photos. I have seen several TV shows on this, but you have shown more interesting photos.

Thank you Steve, maybe I can send you some mud :bounce:
I am thinking about a holiday to the states to visit atlas/titan missile silo http://www.titanmissilemuseum.org/

And the airfield at http://www.visittucson.org/listings...ircraft-Boneyard-/1134/?fromMenu=0&maxshow=10

And there are many abandoned missile bases:

Lokka spacer clearance needs to be 6 to 20" = 1.78 to 5.08 mm

And of course my HJ has to be a showstopper again.

The clearance is to narrow, so I will have the shims to be machined, did not calculate what it needs to be yet.
Now I have to actually read the manual to figure out what is best, I think both sides need to be exact same distance.
Original shims have a very very slight difference.

So I have to exactly know left and right clearance, will do that later:

Ordered new pionion crosshaft as wear should be no more that 0.002 inches = 0.0508 millimeters, after 280 k kilometers it has more wear visible.
41341-55012 08.1980 - 08.1987 PINION, REAR DIFFERENTIAL BJ60,FJ6#,HJ6#
(SUBS) 41341-55013

SHIM--GEAR-- left=0.005 inch .127mm (CAMGEAR) PINION/CROSSHAFT (CAMGEAR) right=0.005 inch .127mm -- GEAR-- SHIM

clearance is below lowest ; :bang: :(:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

Again to many pictures, hope this post wil get me to page 4 :poof:

Lokka spacer clearance 0.006 to 0.020 " inch = .178 to .508 mm
HJ60 Spacers are 1.75 mm
HJ60 clearance is 0.127 mm, 0.005 inch

need about .100 off, ....? a bit more maybe?

Need to find out what is preferred: more space or less.

Ordered,

Lokka spacer clearance 0.006 to 0.020 " inch = .178 to .508 mm
HJ60 Spacers are 1.75 mm
HJ60 clearance is 0.127 mm

Ordered 1.60 mm = - 0.15
HJ60 clearance is 0.127 mm plus 0.15 = 0.28 (0.011 inch) is within Clearance.
Now I also saw I could not install the complete locker as it was touching the right axle, Hope that is solved with this.
If not I will grind some of :wrench:, there is plenty of space to grind off before touching the clip. If I go for an even smaller washer the tolerance will be to much.

Windows phone: when a picture shows normal in explorer but rotates while uploading  will replace with android.

But here is the diff, I cleaned the threads with dremel, heated them 15 seconds, wd40 soak, but a few came loose.
In the thread was some left over from bounding glue, luckily no problem as I first thought it was the thread that damaged.

the cross shaft (pinion shaft) has no wear, no wear allowed for lokka, might buy new one , 20 euro might be imitation (lokka advice is to use original hardened)
