Disguise them as sliders!the wife is fighting to keep the running boards....
preach on, brother! It comes with rust.![]()
Did you look at it?
honestly, I'd buy it back in a heartbeat if it didn't have rust. He's added sliders, rack, lights, new tires, etc. I'm just not into working on rigs with rust, and it did come from PA/VA before I brought it to AZ in '05. That's really the only downside to it. Oh, and the paint was wearing bad 2 years ago, but the PO before me painted it Dune Beige over the factory green. if that bothers you. There's a few FS ads in the classifieds (mine, and BKFJ40's who I bought it from), and of course I have more pics and info if you want it.
No real body rust that I was aware of, just undercarriage and misc. bolt rust. It just made PM's/repairs more of a chore than I liked to deal with. BTW, I sold it because it was my 3rd car, not because of any rust/issues. I put in a blue base fan clutch, headlight relays, the Hellroaring dual-battery setup, etc. I sold it and our minivan and upgraded to a 100 series.I was thinking about looking at it, and just looking at the ad I figured it might be a Mud member or figured someone from Mud would know about it, and lo and behold here you are.![]()
What's the extent and location(s) of the rust that would make you leery of buying it back?
