We're upgrading to a newer model, so need to sell my 1995. Currently has 155,XXX miles with many more to go! I have owned this for the last 4+ years, and only put ~11K miles on it. I purchased it from another mudder (good transaction!). It has been mainly used for off-roading, camping, and hauling scouts around. It's got factory differential locks front and rear, as well as cloth seats (hard to find, if you're looking for them). Its got all the usual stuff: power moonroof, power windows, locks and mirrors, cruise control, cold AC, AM/FM/CD (stock Toyota unit, 'nuff said), sliding rear windows, seating for 7 with folding 3rd row seats, 4 wheel disc brakes, as well as driver and passenger airbags. The engine is the tried and true in-line 6 cylinder 4.5L engine with dual overhead cams at 212 HP (vast improvement in power over the '91-92 models).

This truck has been modified for off-roading and hitting the trails! It includes
  • Factory locking differentials Front and Rear
  • OME Heavy 2 1/2" lift springs and shocks - with castor correction bushings installed
  • ARB front bumper/bull bar
  • Superwinch 9K winch with remote
  • Up-n-Over Innovations rear bumper with tire carrier, CB antenna (includes Firestik 3') and Hi-lift mount - exhaust routed out through rear bumper
  • Safari Snorkel air intake
  • Center diff lock switch (no pin-7 mod yet)
  • Dual Battery set up with Hellroaring isolator (all acc run off primary battery, secondary is purely back-up for self jump-starts though can be modified).
  • CB mounted under dash
  • HIR (Halogen Infrared Reflecting) lowbeam bulbs
  • Slee headlight harness (with relays) for the headlights (BIG improvement on low-beam performance - the high beams were always excellent on LC's)
  • PHH (Pesky Heater Hose under intake manifold) replaced by PO
  • New fan clutch (blue base) with 10K CP fluid for the hot AZ summers
  • Original green has been painted over by previous owner with Toyota Dune Beige (0416) - old tan color of FJ40's-
  • And the all-important in-dash cupholder and some really cool skull and crossbones windshield washer squirters...
It's currently running BFG Mud Terrains (MT's) in 255/75/16 on black steel wheels. Rear pan arch drips a dot of oil every now and then (typical for this model and age). The middle row passenger's seat has a tear in the seam of the upholstery, so the middle seats are covered in SOR (Spector Off-Road) desert camo seat covers. Front upholstery is in excellent condition, as are the 3rd row jumpseats. The carpet has a few worn places, but is generally in good condtion. Includes a rear area cargo tray to keep the dirt and grunge off the carpet. I have mounted a fire extinguisher behind the second row seats. The factory tool kit and jack are included as well. The paint job is an aftermarket one done by the previous owner, and does not cover the door jambs/engine compartment, etc. Personally, I like the color over the stock dark green. It's unique and does well in the desert. The paint job has some rough spots though where it's oxidized or down to primer (which is on top of stock paint - no bare metal). There is a small dent on passenger's rear quarter panel. It's a trail truck, but will ride nicely down the highway as well. I've driven it all over AZ, including remote trips to Toroweap without hesitation. Sale of truck includes the firestik CB antenna, but not the Yakima racks nor the hi-lift jack.

I'm asking $9,000. A sale at that price will include the Factory Service Manual (FSM), the factory Elecrical Wiring Diagram (EWD), a spare birfield, an un-installed, non-USA, OEM passenger's-side dash grab bar, 2 new O2 sensors and whatever other parts are on my shelf at the time. I was just looking at this on CL. Very nice!

Does the exhaust stick out enough from the bumper to use something like an ARB X-Jack?

Not sure how the x-jack works, but I doubt it? It's flush with the edge of the bumper, and has a welded tab there too. I can get a pic if you want.



p.s. the emissions guys love it...:lol:
