ok, it's decided, I'm going to start back at WW next week, they have a few evening meetings so I can fit it into my schedule.

I'll start a new thread next week when I get my first numbers. :)
 
you guys ever think about doing a "biggest looser" contest...we had one at work...lasted the whole school year...$25 each and the biggest looser got the pot...i think she got $600 :eek:

it has two incentives...not to loose $25 and get a big jackpot at the end. :D

all in all there were alot of people that lost a great deal of weight.

the lady lost somewehre like 45 lbs.
 
While weighing in is a nice incentive when you first start one of these programs it ended up kicking my ass.

There will come a time when jumping on the scale won't be such a positive reinforcement it once was. And when you see that after a week's worth of "going without" has yielded ZIP it can be quite the let down. When I was aggressively trying to loose weight I would look forward to weighing myself because getting that affirmation of weight loss gave me a nice "high" that would spur me on for the next couple of days. Loosing those highs really kicked my ass and the weight started to come back on. Seeing that weight come back on was like a kick to the groin after a punch to the face.

Once I realized that the scale was working against me I never got back on it. I now focus on how my clothes fit and how comfortable I am in them.

I also actively started forcing myself to move. That might seem strange to some but I had gotten in the habit of not doing small tasks that could be combined with others at a later time to same me from moving now. So I would look for these tasks and force myself to do them immediately. If you have developed a sedentary oriented life style as I did, forcing yourself to move will be just as important as counting calories.
 
Cloths were noticeable, but the scale didn't lie. Sure, we all hit plateaus, it's normal, but what you need to do is keep on track. I've plateaued for a while, then kick started again, and I moved forward. You can't get discouraged, it is your health we are talking about, you just need to keep going, and it will all work out.
 
my farther had some heath problems...and was dealing with being overweight for many years...he has cut out all white a wheat breads...anything with wheat for that matter...droped a great deal of weight.

the doctor couldnt believe just how much better his heath has been because of this. and for the 1st time is off High Blood pressure pills.
 
I'm looking for a spare 35xI don't care r15.

Hoping to get my 35s mounted and balanced tomorrow or wed and it'd be easier to have the spare mounted and balanced then too. Kinda short notice to be asking around, but if someone had one kicking around I could come pick it up today. Otherwise I'll just buy whatever's cheapest/in stock.
 
I was afraid to look at hte temp this morning . but I rode my bike to work anyway. still thawing I can't get my feet and hands warm again. it used to be you could sit on your hands to get them warm but now we have these high tech mesh chairs that are comfortable but useless for creating heat between your butt and seat cushions of old:)

in my opinion if you have a red or even a yellow top ditch em' just hyped up junk, i have seen so many byte the dust its not even funny at this point.
:hhmm:if i can give you any advise for a duel battery system go with the Diehard marine platinum battery it is just a re badged Odyssey battery. I am installing a duel battery setup in a project 80 and i will be using these battery's on my 80 when i do my duel battery setup.

sorry for the log post but i have just pored 3 cups of coffee down the hatch yippeee;p

If you go with a "regular" battery I've heard nothing but good about the NAPA golds as well.

I'd like to add a dual setup to my 80 as well since it sits so long so often. Can never have too much juice. :)

Did you go with new wheels when you got your TrXus? 16's? I'm doing some window shopping and want to go to a 16" wheel and 35x12.5-16 TrXus MT's. I just have no idea what offset or wheel width (steelies)
 
I have a duel bat set-up

I really have had no issues with my "optima" copy batteries...i can remember who the manufacturer is ...but.. i have had one on since 92 and the other since 97?

never had an issue

I'll check the manufacturer if you want...but...i am quite pleased with the set-up
 
What is the benefit of a marine battery? What makes them different??
