Looking at the current issue of TLCA Magazine I noticed that they listed all the many TLCA club events nationally in 2010. Unfortunately, the Fall Gathering was excluded. Is that an oversight or because we aren't a sanctioned TLCA event? If we are not sanctioned, my concern would be that contributing vendors might be less inclined to contribute to a non-sanctioned TLCA even in the future.

I wasn't referring to the website, just what was listed on Page 2 under the "Trail Leader" editorial for 2010 events. However, my BAD for missing the 2011 list on page 25, I hadn't read that far yet.

The club and its volunteers have done a superior job of obtaining contributions! My apologies for causing concern where none is warranted.

Congrats to Junior on his inclusion on the TLCA website!!!!

Look who's on the home page of the TLCA site!

TLCA: the Toyota Land Cruiser Association

Cool! I always liked the irony of that pic, well, for me at least.
I remember how pumped up I was trying to climb that hill, and there's Lane looking like he's waiting for the game to start, and he's tired of waiting!

"Pretty neat pic. You guys are not helping with my FJ40 itch!"

A forty is sporty!
An eighty is weighty!

 :D

I was in awe of your expert driving skills!

I love my 80 but I would love to find a 40. But I also want a 55 and a 60 so doesnt say much. 40 would be the most fun specially as a dedicated wheeler I would think.

Better yet, a 40 with an 80 drive-train.

You get the styling of a 40 with removable top but capabilities of an 80. But for that much work I think i would rather hack the s@@t out of an 80

bob the ass by 10"
cut 12" out of it's middle
take another 8" off the nose
remove the roof, doors and rear hatch
6" springs with custom front arms
toss out the stock fuel tank and put in a sub behind the axle
install crawl box.
5.29s
38"s
and the cage the hole thing for a 4 seater.

or maybe not

I like this idea as the 80 has a pretty long wheel base. I have looked at the frame and there doesn't seem to be a good place to do this as it looks like / \ in the middle. Then there are the link mounts to deal with. Anyone have any how to go about doing this?

Thanks! I've been dubbed the "Fun Police" by a friend. Basically means I'm going to ruin the party for a lot of people.
