It was fun. One of the reasons I left corporate life to work on my own is to have time to do all this stuff with the boy so I was happy to be able to do it.

Sunburned my melon pretty bad though. Spent all day spraying sunblock on kids and never thought to spray myself.

Had a little bit of a scare this weekend. My daughter had some leg pain after setting up some sound equipment earlier that week. Just before leaving for VT see asked about it as it wasn't getting any better and she was having some shortness of breath. At this point we made a DRs appointment and headed out for VT.

The DR sent her to the hospital and wouldn't let her drive so we had to rely on relatives to help us out.

In the end she had multiple blood clots in her leg and lungs, she's only 21 YO.

Prevailing thought is it's do to the birth control pill and she's now on blood thinners and doing OK.

Luckily I have next week off as of now because I need some rest.

Good that she's ok. Scary when these things happen to
your kids.

Had a pretty fabulous Father's Day Weekend with the family in Maine, spent some time at Two Light State Park on Cape Elizabeth then took in a Sea Dogs game today. It was hot as Hades though, damn.

So about 3 years ago my wife and I pull into her parents driveway and notice that her dad was backing out of the garage. I pull off to the side so he can back right out but I leave the Tacoma running. Well he stops so I turn off the engine. They he starts backing up again. Apparently he was putting on his seat belt. I start laying on the horn now that my truck is stopped and I cannot move it in time. He puts a nice crease in the cab and bed. No big deal the truck was 10 years old and Toyota ended up buying it back.

Fast worward 3 years. My wife is up at her parents house. He back right into her Camry this morning when she was dropping the baby off. Three years ago my mother-in-law laid into him for hitting the truck. Now that the baby is around and its the second time he is doing this she is making an even bigger deal about it. I feel bad for him. Its kinda funny actually........ As long as he doesn't hit my Cruiser or Tundra.

If I remember correctly you also backed into her Camry.

I just tried to find the original post and it must go back to far....... Ha ha ha you will never hear the story......

Good memory.
If I remember correctly her exact words were.-" I can't deal with this now, You need to fix this"

Maybe your family's cars are being magnetized somehow.... Either that or you subconsciously hate each other

....... Ha ha ha you will never hear the story.......

sorry it sounded too much like a chalange so i had to find it....hope you dont mind :)

Okay so here is the story.

I had gotten the FJ45 a few months prior and had been waiting for some front end parts before I registered it. Well I get it all registered and insured and ready to go.

Since the truck has no neutral safety switch I had previously been pulling the choke and started the truck. I had not been using the truck so the couple times I left it in gear it would lurch forward or backward (depending on the gear) and I would quickly realize it and pull it out of gear before I continued to start it.

Well the first day it was registered and insured I had taken it for a ride before the wife got home. I let it sit for about an hour, the wife comes home in the mean time, and figured that I would need to pull the choke and let it warm up a second before I moved her car. Well sure enough it was still warm and with the extra fuel from the choke it started right up and covered the distance between it any my wifes new Camry (about 5 feet) pretty quickly. At that point the rear bumper was a piece of 4” structural channel welded to the bumper with the channel sticking out. While I was trying to comprehend what just happened Kerry came out of the house to see her new car smashed. She said “I can’t deal with this right now. You NEED to fix this.” Then she turned around and went back in the house.

Turns out I did about $5500 worth of damage…. Ooops. That’s what insurance is for.
