We used to take him out, but now she is mad because I asked the landlord to ask her to pick up her own dogs poop.

She's not a dog owner and I still say it was more of a FU to the husband that she got the dog. Some people should just not own dogs, I had them when I was a kid and I know I'm one not to own one. It's too bad for the dog!

The I'd drop a dime and get her and the dog booted

Herb Chambers saga continues....took the new/used GX470 in to have the tires re-balanced as they shimmy pretty good at 60+ mph. Spent 2.5 hrs waiting. They couldn't get them balanced. They said the tires were too old but they had enough tread and no cracking so they passed the Herb Chambers inspection thus, it's my problem. They said the tires are no good and need to all be replaced.

I bought this car less than a month ago and it was "Certified." I'll be at Herb Chambers at 9 am tomorrow and will likely spend the whole day there. Very pissed off.

I'll admit, I'm not totally up on your car dealings. What year is this Lexus? How many miles on it? And there was no vibrations on the test drive?

2005 GX470. they rotated the tires and said the tires would even out. It's my wife's car and I've only driven it once. She started complaining about the shaking so I drove it then took it in.

Their "certified" deal says it should run like new or they'll fix it. Now they're saying the tires are too old and I need a whole new set. They're saying it's my problem. So my viewpoint is that, what if say the engine is nice and clean but a valve blows but it looks nice so it's not their problem? The tire looks fine but they are junk and can't be fixed. I have a warranty up to 100k miles. I'm sure tomorrow is gonna suck.

Herb Chambers was fantastic today. I went straight to the head of sales at the dealership (skipping over the d-bag manager I'd had all the trouble with) and that guy quickly apologized for any trouble. He said they'd gladly replace the tires asap and he would have a "discussion" with the service rep and the lower sales manager who "screwed up big." Within 3 minutes I had the car in the shop and they gave me a loaner for the day. Nice to have things swing your way on occasion!

Good for you John. I've bought quite a few cars from dealers and would never think to go back and ask for tires after the fact. Both my 2006 GS300 and the wife's 2003 4Runner got new sneakers soon after the purchase. Probably won't even after reading your post, an obvious character flaw.

For the money I spent I'd expect tires that didn't wobble over 60 mph. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. I wouldn't have complained if I didn't think it was warranted. The GM of sales said they were total junk and was embarrassed that they were even on the car. I'm a pretty passive person till I feel I'm getting stuck with something. Glad everything worked out

We just had similar good luck at Hurlbert Toyota...Epping NH. Bought the Prius in December used AS-IS of course and was pretty sure I tested everything on the test drive. First warm day this year, tried the A/C and its blowing hot. Prius has a one-off system for the hybrid, so the internet forums are filled with expensive repairs. Sheri remained calm and got the sales manager to agree to look at it 6 months after the purchase. They evacuated and recharged the system at no charge and it is still good.

Nice luck Ernie! That definitely sounds like an above and beyond on the dealer's part!

If mine wasn't "Certified Used" with all extra warranties etc then I probably would have just bought new tires myself. I bought my new infiniti from a car dealer wholesale auction and the tires are shot and the brakes need a re-do but that's what I paid for and that's what I agreed upon. Happily replacing all that on my own dime.

Either way it was great that Herb Chambers Lexus did right by me and very happy.

This posting makes me sad to think about the day my 11 year old son goes off to college.
