That is a piss poor excuse!!! I would of ate without him.

You deserve maximum cruiser time for a couple of weeks for having to put up with him

Good luck with you job search John and have a nice Holiday

My final grumpy post and I'll stop bitching.

Just shoveled for 2 hours. All other male relatives sat inside watching tv as I cleaned off and shoveled out their cars and all the walkways. After this my son came out to go sledding. Suddenly everyone is outside. F-this. I'm all done. Football, cruiser, and beers this afternoon. Family time is officially over.

no offense but your kinda a pussy for putting up with that s***, family or not i would have started eating, family or not i would have dragged some body's out to help with the snow especially, would have dragged that dick of a brother in law out and made him help shovel snow:flipoff2:
at least its all over John time for tuns :wrench: and

X2, who knows, maybe John's son will lend him his balls next time so things will be different.

I agree it is a pussy move on my part. The in laws are here for 5 days. My brother in law is here for 2 days with his wife and 3 dogs. If I started complaining and busting balls then my wife would be pissed and make me even more grumpy, making things worse. her view is that they are guests and can hang out and relax all they want. If I was at their house, I'd throw on a hat and gloves and grab a shovel. I'd also never be 2 hours late for anything without the word "hospital" or "tow truck" as part of my excuse.

My wife knows exactly how pissed off I am. Exploding on everyone else will only make me look like more of a dick than I already am. Gotta go back out and finish shoveling in a couple hours. Anybody wanna start a betting pool?

But hey, F-it...it's the holidays....right?

Well, the s*** has hit the fan. Literally. My brother in laws dog just s*** on the floor in front of the TV. He refused to clean it up because he was in the middle of a backgammon game. He's f-ing dead.

I'd be going on some unimaginable tirade right now. In no uncertain terms telling them what a colossal bunch of ass holes they are.

With any luck they would pack up and leave to never be heard from again.

Just don't do it after some liquid courage as they will blame it on that and not take responsibility for their actions.

You're too nice. I'd go the colossal a****** route. That shoe fits me well. As an example, as an early Christmas present I'm serving one of my tenants a get-the-fxxx-out-in-30-days notice later this afternoon when they get home from work. Nothing says Merry Christmas quite like "get out you miserable POS".

I've evicted 6 different tenants in my life. Never felt bad for a second for any of them, even for the ones who had kids. All of them had jobs but felt it better to buy drugs, booze or flat screen tv's instead of paying me rent. Never been a nice guy when it comes to tenants unless they deserve it.

I've officially banned my brother in law from the house. He's done.

I guess it is too late to put said dog crap in with his newly dry cleaned clothes?

dude your family is brutal... tell them no problem you would be happy to pick up the poop, pick it up bring it out side and cram it into his HVAC fresh air intake for his car:hillbilly:

True. Ironically fighting with my parking brake was far more relaxing than the family

FYI From the NEA:

Open Invite Gremlin Graveyard 12/26

Post Christmas trail ride. Open to any and all NEA club members.

Meet at Sturbridge Stop and Shop plaza near the UNO's at 9:30 AM roll out at 9:45.
Address is 100 Charlton RD Sturbridge MA.

The amount of snow will determine the level of difficulty. 31's I'd say would be the minimum. Lockers a plus but not mandatory. The trails are pretty wide open a few hill climbs that may be some trouble but nothing to be overly concerned about.
There is a $20 donation to the land owner per vehicle. Please bring cash and we will collect that day and send 1 check on Sunday.
Bring your lunch, recovery gear, parts, tools etc and come out and have some fun. Meet some new people and catch up with some old people.
There is room for trailer parking at the property.
Thanks to Scott H. for coming up with the idea.

If I can get my truck back together, I'd be in for that run!

Battery charging question

So my battery in the Cruiser was dead as a doornail Saturday morning when I trief to go to Ricks.

It's been sitting for weeks, in the bitter cold, not a big surprise. Anyway I pop it on the trickle charger Saturday evening and this morning it still hasn't moved the needle hardly at all.

Is it the cold? Is my charger bad? Could the battery be toast? It's a near-new Interstate, with warranty so I can get a new one if necessary but I can't imagine its' dead and gone from 1 full discharge... could it?

Should I set it up in my warm basement and try it there?

Thoughts?

Guessing but maybe it's your charger, if the battery is fairly new it should take.

If you do bring it inside, don't put it on a concrete floor as it drains out the battery. Not sure why that is but my mechanic told me to never store batteries on the bare concrete

Interesting, the battery is sitting ont eh concrete floor of my garage. I'll put it up on a milkcrate and see if that changes anything. If not, I'll go buy a new charger. This one is my f-i-l's and I have no idea how old it is.

I think it drains more as long term storage meaning the concrete doesn't suck the charge out fast enough to ruin your recharging. Wonder what the physics are behind that?

just an old wives tale, I asked about that to some major batter manufactures a while back and they said it would not hurt them if stored on a concrete floor
