I got a text a while ago regarding the school closures. I don’t understand the logic in closing that far out vs 2 weeks at a time or as the situation changes. On a positive note I now have an excuse for growing a mullet

From the unexpected or unintended consequences, just heard from family down south, they are finding a significant increase in raccoons and possums coming out and getting closer and closer to the homes, sleeping on porches, swimming in pools.... Lower human activity I guess they figured out they can take over. Exterminator services are now hard to find to come out and set traps. These are close together homes, so no, you can't shoot them and make stew or hats.

I am kinda wishing we would just shut everything down, across the country for 14 days and just be done. We are already taking a huge hit to the economy and it will only get worse as we watch area after area be effected. A drastic move now of everyone taking two weeks at home may well help end this sooner.

What the hell do I know, I am just one of the millions watching my wife's and my business slowly slip away. Heather comes home every day and tells me of restaurants that have told her they do not expect to recover from this and are taking steps to shut the businesses down. The recession is here folks.

I feel for you and your business. I can only imagine (very badly I admit) how difficult it is to see a business that was built out of a shared passion slowly become unsustainable. My dislike above is for the situation and how much it sucks for both of you. At least the clays will listen.....

We are now under a shelter in place order except for essential businesses. I can thankfully work from home since my work is "essential" Andrea's child care facility is laughingly still open because they are also deemed "essential" even though the majority of the family's have one stay at home parent already and most of the other parents work in the tech industry anyway and are already working from home. The owners just want to keep making money, even though they themselves have decided to stay home through all this.... leaving Andrea and the rest of the Admin staff to deal with the crazy anxious parents and teachers. They've dumped their work that they do at the center on her while trying to keep parents from leaving etc....... I may have some words for them next time I bump in to them.

Other than that my income will be down 50% easily next month. Maybe more.

On a side note I had a beer with my mom through a window lol.... took my own beer to her house and sat on her porch and put the phone on speaker. Then wiped the chair down when I left.
