Heads up! My local ABC store no longer allows people inside except to pay. You need to know what you want so the employee at the door can have it pulled and packed for you while you stand outside the door. This might be bad news if your local store doesn't have shade or an awning (for rain).

Speaking of masks, it's relatively easy to make your own if you have a sewing machine and some fabric. We picked up some fabric yesterday and knocked out a few, hope to get better and make them to donate:

Did they have the elastic? My wife has a production of over 100 but can't find the elastic anywhere.

No elastic available. I made straps with the fabric, covered here. You can use ribbon, shoelaces, whatever, doesn't have to be elastic.

She has done lots of them, but the feedback was the tie down ones (no elastic) are difficult to keep on. All we need is a couple of inches of elastic per and would help a lot.

I hear you, but again, if elastic is not available, a mask with tie straps is better than no mask at all.

I'm sure if you ordered elastic on amazon you could have it in a week or two, but for us, tie strap masks will be fine.

use a piece material, twine, string or a shoe lace and then a rubber band to cinch up the slack to hold it in place.

or just duct tape a couple layers of cloth to an old Halloween mask and call it good.

I’ve heard that medical folks prefer the tie straps to the elastic bands when they wear the masks as an outer layer over their N95’s. Not first hand info, tho.

I spent about 2 hours watching YT vids about this yesterday AM!

Today I watched and read an hour of stuff saying that masks only prevent YOUR germs from spreading, doing nothing to prevent incoming viruses. This is why I’d rather just stay home.
