Picked this up over the weekend. What do you all think? I think it's way cool.

I know, plus it came with the stand. I almost passed it up, but couldn't.

Nice. I've got one just like it only red tank. Great for cooking for a crowd.

for some reason I thought these ran on deisel also. my bad. Are they tricky to light, or just like the normal fuel lanterns?
From what I gathered on the Coleman collectors Forum, they like low pressure to start. Once the generator is warm, you can add more pressure.
I mixed what read on the forum with the destructions on the lantern, and it lit. It’s not quite as bright as a 220, but I haven’t really gone through it yet. It is a single mantle unit.
This one is fairly new I think at 1983. Some of the older mil spec units might have run other fuels, but I’m not as brushed up on their history.
Many of this style lantern were manufactured by companies other than Coleman.

My wife spotted this while we were at a antique shop. We've had it since Thanksgiving. This is the first time I got a chance to play with it. Added some fuel and shot a little silicon on the pump rubber and added fire. I'm such a nerd.

I have the same stove but with a silver tank. It was my back packing stove for years!

I hope everyone had a good Christmas! I haven't posted in here yet with my new findings. I picked up a 413G (built in 8/65) that just needed a new o-ring for the cap, and a pump rebuild. Both burners work great! And I bought a 502 (1/81) from a Coleman collector here in SLC, also works great! And then my folks got me an era appropriate yellow case for my 220J. It even has the funnel!

I found one of those old colemans in my cabins basement, was my grandfathers. Brand new, still has the instructions in it. Are these things worth any money?
If it had a connection to my dad or grandfather, both of which are no longer with us, it would be priceless.

Anyone have or know where to maybe get more 1/10 scale Coleman stuff?

Huh! I didn't think I'd like anything other than a factory color but the flat black looks good!

What paint did you use ?
