Ok , that's what I thought . I did some research and found the HK-15 or -10 is the right size , just have to find someone that sells it reasonable and will ship it . I got a full set of the dark-handle laquered wood drivers for my toolbox to replace the Swiss made Matco ones - they are worn out and weren't that great to start with . Full set of the blonde wood handles for the tool bag like yours - thanks for the link to Rakuten , btw . Searching that site is a bit of a pain , but worth the time . Just have to figure the Japanese terms for the tools , after that it's easier . Need to find the hammer and a good general pair of pliers next , that will fill the bag complete minus a grease gun which I also need to replace as all mine are shot and leaking all over . Can't find any decent ones in the US that have tips that will last very long and put the pressure into the zerk , not all over the place...arggh .

Sarge,
If you want OEM tools, contact Kyle Edwards at Toyota South Atlanta (678-783-2619 or kedwards@toyotasouthatlanta.com). He can get you the OEM tools. He was able to source the Toyota 250mm crescent wrench and Toyota pliers as seen in my photo, post #834.

One-Hand HK-15 @ $17.05

Finally, installed my new mirrors, mirror arms & soft top last night.......The Queen approves. This morning the :princess: said, "Does the heat work in your 40? If so, let's go for a ride!" I said, "Grab your fleece Patagonia." So, a cool Spring morning trip to Target & Lowe's was the maiden voyage for the soft top. Got it up to 65 and the new soft top stayed on, so that is a GOOD THING! Now for some warm temps so I can get the top to relax and stretch out. I have the rear sides rolled up and that is how it is going to stay, unless it is in the rain.

Note: Much to my dismay, I did have to drill four 3/16" holes in my rear tub rail for the bows support. But I refused to dill anymore for the rear footman loops. So I made two d-ring brackets and they are attached in the last 6mm hole on each side of the rear tub rail. Oh, for the windshield channel, I tapped out the existing holes to 8mm and re-drilled the new channel to match the holes.

While I remain vehemently against Jeep tops on 40s, you do good work. I hope you like it well enough to save up and invest in a Trollhole down the road!

While I love seeing pics of your '77 - it makes me want to go find all the previous owners of mine and do some very nasty things to them .

Thanks for links on the hammers - still trying to figure out by head diameter and weight which one is right ....

I thought I had found the pliers and crescent wrench on another site that had some Toyota parts , but they are gone now ...

The hammer in Toyota tool rolls is 1 lb/ 450g. From the OH Industrial catalog it is model HK-10.

Or go with the Toyota equivalent 09051-1C100 for $12.02 on Amayama.

Happy Easter to all....after a Sermon in the Garage and a few prayers, I did a final cleaning then laid down some Dicor in the roof gutters. :hillbilly:

In a few weeks, I'll pick up a spray gun and paint the entire roof with some Cygnus White T-012. Then I'll put it up for storage.

I've been woefully behind on reading up on the various builds around here... you don't disappoint Mr. Architect! Love what you've done... from the tool roll to the topless driving. Looking forward to more!

Just had my exhaust rerouted a little and turned out behind the RR wheel. Didn't get any exhaust fumes inside the cab on the way back home from the shop. As soon as the yellow stuff stops flying, the sides and rear window will get rolled up. Here are some pic's.

You think he might be able to source the carb adjustment tools?-not neccessarily the drivers, but mainly the gauge set for setting the secondary and choke angle.

If you have a part number, send him an email. When working, he is quick to respond.

Rick nice rig... nice softtop... sorry should have told about the footman loops, i did exactly what you did

From ACE Hardware, I obtained a few small rubber-insulated cable clamps and 1-1/4" D-rings. Here is pic of my set up.
