1969 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 — Project

$8000

Texas title in my name. Truck doesn't currently run, but I haven't tried to start it — I'm confident it could be brought back with reasonable effort. Originally Dune Beige. Covered in red primer that comes off with acetone.

What's included:

  • Rebuilt 6/69 carburetor
  • Toyota intake gasket and a fresh manifold-back exhaust, ready to install
  • Uninstalled set of Toyota Koito H4 headlights
  • Tote full of miscellaneous spares I've collected over time
  • Disassembled hardtop (complete)
  • Spare solid 1.5F motor — needs to be resealed (in addition to the drivetrain in the truck)
  • Adapter plate to convert the 3-speed column shift to floor shift
  • Set of 5 grey 40-series wheels in the desired welded style (truck currently rides on chrome wagon wheels, both sets included)
  • Simple winch bumper
  • Warn Belleview 8463 winch (lower power version of the legendary 8274)

Condition notes:

The truck is very complete. Minimal rust at the hardtop interface — nothing structural. Currently has the F155 3-speed column shift. I know these trucks well and I'm being straight with you about what's there.

I'm personally a fan of the 3 speed. I'd love to have a 4.8 ls in this.

I’d just bring it back to its OG state if I could.

Have a 350 with the three speed. It’s a widow maker off the line. Beats a 3UR off the line every time
