what size would you say fits the most appropriately on an FJ60? only looking to sleep 2, so any added room is just a plus.
also, would want to be able to fit some gear on the rack infront of the tent. thx for you input

Any of the Kukenam models would be a great choice.

Here's how that size fits on the roof of my 80 which would be similar to how it would fit on a 60.

Nice!! I was thinking along the same lines. Your 80 looks great.

couple questions: is the ruggedized version worth the extra 400 bucks? if yes How so?

can the standard tent handle bad storms or weather as is? or do they need the extra cover Tepui sells ? how bout the ruggedized ?

Only you can decide if the Ruggedized version is worth the extra cost for what you need. The standard tents are great. I used a standard Autana on my truck/trailer for a couple years before I started selling Tepui tents. It was fantastic and held up to everything we needed from it, high winds, rain, cold etc. These standard tents will be more than adequate for most people. I never felt it needed the extra cover.

It would have been nice to have one of the Anti-condensation mats in this tents as it would get some condensation between the floor and mattress. But I was just in the habit of opening up the tent to air it out after a trip and I would pull the mattress out to dry as well. Not a big deal and I still do that with my Ruggedized tents although it doesn't have the condensation issue.

Usually what I say about the Ruggedized tents is ask yourself how often you plan to use the tent and what are the conditions you typically find yourself camping in. If you are regularly in poor weather, or you are camping several times during the month then the extra durability of the Ruggedized might make more sense as it just has a higher level of durability. But there are many people who aren't camping in harsh conditions or camping that frequently but still want the toughest tent on the market and the Ruggedized fits that bill. So it's really up to what you want.

I will say that having used both the standard tents and the Ruggedized ones, I find the Ruggedized ones worth every bit of the extra cost. Either version will be fine in harsh weather since all of the Tepui tents are designed to withstand harsh conditions. The Weather Hood is a nice addition for an extra layer of weather proof-ness and insulation if you know you'll be in very wet and cold environments.

Thanks for the answers. I was looking on Tepui's website, looks like the anti condensation mats for the Kukenam are sold out. do you have any in stock?

also could you PM me a price on the Kukenam : "Roaring Mountain" and an anti-condensation mat, shipped thanks

Did I read that there is a dealer in Ohio somewhere? Who and where? Are there tents in stock to look at in person there?

I never saw that this was ever answered.

nice pic! love the Pooch restraint system.

Alright guys, latest update on the new shipment coming in is ETA of 5/25. It's been a very busy couple of months and we have sold out of almost everything. Those of you still waiting to place an order, thank you for your patience! We've got some good stuff coming in. All the "normal" stuff will be back in stock and we've got our limited run of "special edition" olive green Ruggedized models coming in this shipment. I saw some photos and they look AWESOME!

Do you guys have any anti condensation mats for the gran sabanna? Also, do they work well?

Howdy guys. FYI I will be in Australia this week, returning on 5/25 and I'll have limited access to email and messages. If you have questions about the tents etc I'll respond as quickly as I can either when I have internet or when I get back. If you need immediate help, you can always call the Tepui shop number 800-301-9874

Since the recent delivery of Tepui Tents at the warehouse it has been very busy getting everything organized and orders filled and shipped. We are already sold out of all Autana models. The Siberian Camo Autana should be available again in a few weeks and Tepui is expecting another delivery sometime in July and should have all models back in stock.
