did you do any upgrades inside your 2H when you installed the turbo?
was wondering.. do you have the pictures?.

well i think we have similar offroad conditions here in at my place. (Borneo) we have massive mud (even the black slicky mud) due to wet and dry seasons.

Nop .. it's just a plain normal 2H running KKK 26.8 turbo with top mounted intercooler and all diesel that my IP can provide ..
 
This weekend we take a short trip to make some donations down here and I did what I promise ..

Clint .. horrible 20.2 segs 0 to 100KM/h ( 0 to 60 MPH ) I was just amazed how long it takes ! damn ! I was like WTF how much time you gonna take !

Well that's it.. 40" did not help at all .. :hillbilly:

I was planned bunch other stuff for Tencha this year .. but broke the hole front diff and that was all fur my Tencha budget .. any case manage to ( in between front 30 splines Nitro set, new ARB, house and 2 other 80 at home not necessary to talk about wife :D ) add methanol injection to Tencha ..

before we start with that .. make more room for tires ..

So what do you get from the methanol injection? Is it horsepower? How much? Someone wanted me to add propane injection to my 12H-T, but there are other problems with that idea I wasn't too excited about. Not enough pro's over con's for me. Are the two systems similiar?
 
I am sure David can say more since he knows more than me about it but....

he will gain lower EGTs. He will also gain some more power, how much is very debatable. He will also gain a more complete burn of the diesel which in turn can give some better mpgs.

BTW, Jose's Troll looks badass!! :cool:

Ian you are right on .. the 1st and main benefit are lower EGT's lower EGT's means to me more fuel room .. and more fuel ( diesel ) it's equal to more HP .. that's a fact ..

I will also discover in Marilu ( need to test that in Tencha ) that pre turbo nozzle helps building boost sooner .. honestly I don't care about MPG since Tencha makes around 30 - 32 MPG .. and at the end all it's about trying new ideas ..

My idea it's to get all HP that I can extract from my engine .. and when it dies it will open the door for my 1HD-T project ..

Really? With 40' tires and all?

My brothers HJ60 with a turbo 2H gets about 17-18MPG on a mixed tank (city/hwy). He has an auto but I know for sure its not worth that kind of MPG drop.
 
Hard to tell from videos the difference. I would be curious to see how much it lowers EGTs though. Also maybe I missed it but is this a kit you made yourself or is it something bought off the shelf?

jealous on the Panama beaches part... :rolleyes:
