To Techstream expert. :) Okay, I have searched and didn't find any result. So I have installed the Techstream Ver 13.00.022. and connect to the vehicle using Mini-VCI J2534 cable. I can connect to the vehicle with no problem and Techstream recognize the vehicle and automatically input vehicle VIN. Able to connect to all ECU and read the info, but not Data List or doing active test. Same thing on my 2011 LX and 2014 Sienna as well. Popped up error box as shown in the attached images, has anyone encounter the same situation?

Looks more like a Windows problem. Can you uninstall/reinstall the software?

I tried that already, but still coming back the same. :bang: It is installed on win 7 64 bit system laptop.

Can you run it in XP mode and see if that helps?

It’s a botched install. Remove it all including registry. Install the usb drivers and test using the utility. Then install tech stream. You may need to back up a few versions.

I can never get techstream to run reliably on 64 bit windows that’s why I’m running techstream on a 32 bit windows virtual machine. Did you install the 64 bit driver for xhorse or mini vci?

64bit driver for the mini VCI cable was installed. May be I should try to reinstall Window 7 in 32 bit and go with the 32bit driver.

@ranma21 here is a ih8mud thread on Techstream which will help, Techstream This method is 100% fool proof as you running a virtual system.

Pretty sure it's the version you're using and not your OS

I had the same issue using Version 13.00.022 on both my 32Bit XP Notebook and my 64Bit Win10 Tablet

I was able to run TechStream and connect, but when as soon as I tried to do an Active Test, I'd get the same pop up saying the TechStream App stopped working :bang:

Installed an older, more proven version (12.30.017) and it works fine on both XP and WIn10

Able to do all Active Testing as well

Had the same issue with 13.x.x. Installed 14.x.x and it works fine.

Happen to have a direct link for the updated version you're using?
