****. I guess I have to grease all my driveshaft splines the 80 series way.

Soooooo does he not contradict himself in that "procedure"? "pump it until grease comes out, but not too much because you will hydrolock the shaft". I always have done 2 pumps and I'm done, that's 75% more than Aimee gets.... s*** are we still talking about banging or greasing the driveshaft...

He says the shaft will extend and punch out the transfer all by itself if you put too much grease in.

And you should use an air grease gun to make sure it gets in there.

2 pumps. That's it. Think about baseball. Or dick Cheney naked.

I have a 350 with oil leaks, figure the blow back gets into all the important parts of the drive shafts, and helps rust proof the frame and under body. Thats the way we roll down here in the sticks.

Joe.....you're an 80 guy, how do you do it.?

Well, you wheel an 80, you're not really an 80 guy.

There are supposed to be grease fittings on my drive shaft?

Intensions are to proceed as planned but may have to change due my brother in Texas. He has been put in hospice care and given maybe a week.

I will let you know when I have new info.

Bummer bill! Do whatcha gotta do.

If that's the case I'll see what I can do about coming up with tech....

If no other projects come up, I could really use some help with my Jimmy frame. Pretty much gotta cut out a notch for axle travel, and weld in a reinforcement. I think it would require a plasma cutter, welder, and grinder. And I need to get some steel plate. I would just buy a bolt/weld in frame notch, but no companies seem to make them for the k5- the frame is different from c10 and suburban frames

Sorry to hear that Billiam, that sucks!

That could work. Plus I kinda could use a plasma as well. Mine is pleasing Tony at the moment. If someone has one I just need it to cut out a cross member in the 4 runner...

Very sorry to hear that Billiam. If you need anything, lemme know.

I am still being pleased by the plasma....but if you need it....

Oh my goodness, I am very sorry to hear about your brothers condition Bill. Please let us know if there is anything that we can do.

Double edged sword. Really don't want this to interfere with tech day or Harland but I would not want him to suffer for a prolonged period. Blood comes first.

Damn, sorry to hear that, Bill.

Sorry to here about the brother Bill, you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Bad news is my brother lost his battle with cancer last night. I was informed that there will be no services and that I should proceed with my plans for tech day and Harlan. We will be coming up Saturday morning.

Thanks for all the kind words, he will be missed.

Sorry Bill.

Sorry to hear that, Bill.
