Just thought I would say boo. I've decided to make the epic journey down from Alberta. Now to put together a plan...

Got a spare "Diesel" front grill emblem you can bring down for some monetary or tequila consideration? I'm missing the one on the front of my 70. I have a mint 24v rear heater unit I'll part with.

Afraid I don't (I'm a one vehicle guy, and mine has the sparky things), but I'd be happy to bring one down if you can source it.

Is someone in your convoi bringin a trailer?

In short, no.

In detail, right now it's myself (FJ62, I own no trailer), a guy from Ft. St. John if he can get away from his work (BJ42, IFAIK doesn't own a trailer) and guy from Calgary I've not met, who hasn't replied to my e-mail. I suspect we'll all be coming down independently. I might have a couple axle's in my truck though, depending on where they need to go.

What are you looking to have brought down? The stuff behind the diesel emblem? :p

I would love that, but I was thinking more of what you might be dragging home. :D

You're determined that I should have a rust-free cruiser. Maybe I should bring down a 2000lb trailer axle and a ball coupler, you have a welder, right? :hillbilly:

Well looks like we might make it. I told her I needed to get some parts up there and bring some home. That and the thought of kicking it on the beach for a couple of days, Looks like we will be driving the 45 since we will have a parts run and doing the tent thing when we get there. I did have to promise her a 4 day Ocean Cruise after the first of the year LOL

What about Prom?

More likely it had something to do with sitting on the couch singing that damn song, over and over and over, day in and day out for the last month! :D

Whatever works! It will be great to see you!

This next weekend is like christmas for me. I get a vacation and a cheap A440F. :) I'm excited to see so many cruisers in one place!

Will there be a big screen and movies like last year on Sat Night ?

Mark

Probably not, but there are plans for projector and screen with an animated kids flick at Ransey's camp on Saturday night.

Saturday bight at main camp we'll have a free Pig BBQ hosted Camping Lab and beer by Metal Tech.

I do have a car hauler, and a tow rig, but I am driving the BJ42, if I can make it, and no trailer behind it (also taking the roof rack off).

I am one step closer to making it, cause looks like things are beggining to freeze up, which means some of the reclamation work will need to be put off till next year.

As for the diesel emblem, I will check our herd at my brothers place, but I think I gave my dad the 70 series grill already, but there might be some 60 series diesel emblems.
Cheers,
Deny

Can't wait for my first SnT (after years on the wrong coast, it's nice to be near the correct coast ;) )

Flying into SMF on Tuesday for prep with Cruiserdrew.....

Then I guess we are hittin' the road Weds....

Looking forward to meeting some of the more "colorful" personalities on MUD...

Thanks for looking. I'll be in the 70 with a rooftop tent.

Is CruiserDrew going to let you take one from his fleet or is he taking you as a passenger?

Just for the experience, we're heading down in the bagel chariot (aka 1984 fj60). The 62 is in use, the 80 is waiting for the smog paperwork-I was lazy an smogged a month late) and the 40, while drivable, would not be much fun all the way to Pismo.
