It took about three weeks to get my old 85 SR5 x-tra cab back when it was stolen so there is still hope -
I'm keeping an eye out in the Inner Richmond and So. SF where I live and work..

Fingers crossed.

I guess I got Florida covered, since no one called it yet.

I hope you get your truck back.

Thanks for the continued posts, everyone, and for keeping an eye out. I REALLY appreciate it.

D'Animal - Sorry about the slow response re your post asking if the truck in the other string was my rig. I was out of town and offline for a few days. That truck is a super-clean FJ60 and very similar, but the different bull bar and tires, plus a lack of the spot and the sliders leads me to believe it's not mine. Thanks, however, for the heads-up!

Hope everyone had a good weekend and all the best for the week ahead. I'll keep you posted if anything new develops.

Keep the faith Bro.... When my work truck was stolen, it was gone for 3 months. When I got it back it had very minor damage ( radio and steering column) And 4 parking tickets. The cops "found" it only after the tags expired and they towed it:mad: Have you checked the 4wd trails. around here kids will steal a truck and wheel it till it breaks and just leave it.

Hang in there
Charles

PS.. I got the whole western slope of Colorado covered.

Altan - Thanks for the encouragement...it seems that you are able to predict the future! (see below)

All - I just got a call from SFPD and they found my rig! I don't yet know what shape it's in and I have to jump through some hoops (get a release form from the PD, go to the impound to claim my truck, etc.) before I'll find out, but I'll keep you posted. Please keep your fingers crossed that damage is minimal.

The one thing that does suck is that I have to pay for the towing ($240) and the storage ($50/24hrs)! I gotta figure out how I can get out of work to pick it up before the storage fees mount!

:bounce::bounce2::bounce2::bounce:

Here's to hoping it's in good shape

(By the way - you should edit your title of the thread so people know it was recovered. I know there are a lot of interested parties).

Before you pick it up, call your insurance agent. They may cover the fees (cheaper than writing a check for a whole cruiser), plus if there is damage (ignition lock pulled, etc) might as well get them in the loop. Never hurts to ask.

Very cool!! Ditto the comments of calling your insurance, there's a good chance they may cover some of the costs since they were associated with a theft (assuming you had theft coverage). But no matter what you should call them and see what they say.

Very happy for you. BTW I am, at this very moment, installing my gearshift lock, inspired by your ordeal.

Excited to hear the news of recovery. Hope she's not hurting too bad. Good luck.

Huzzah!!!

Thats great, glad she will be in the right hands again
