the 40 pile looks like a good 5year project or so, and that would be if you were motivated. Is the crank rusted and the bearing surfaces / cylinder walls? the fun part will be figuring how to get all of that on your trailer at one time...with no damage.

might want to borrow a trailer with walls and a roof....

looks like fun if all the stuff is there....but many days of work in the future on that...

Check this out.
Tried to upload video but guess it's to big. Anyway they have a DJ tonight with disco/lazar lights. It's a big freakin hit. Maybe something to think about for GSMTR.

Another idea.......What about Snap-On , Mac Tools , Cornwell have any of them been hit up for GSMTR ?

Sending a letter to a large corporation generally gets no response. The best approach is through the local or regional rep. If you or anyone else knows any of these reps please talk to them and pass on the info to raffle committee.

Drag racing up trail 47!

Going to be entertaining.

Looks like they tore the absolute crap outta one of my favorite trails. Last time I drove #47 it was single track, now it's an interstate :bang:. I know rock bouncing is popular but I just don't get it.

@Elbert cross posting an answer over here.

I/ we are joining the 40 owners club this weekend. Plan to make a run to MS this weekend to pick up a 40 from one of the Cottonland guys. Codename: Pvt Pile.

1970 FJ40. Of all the people who need another project, I'm not one, but for the price I couldn't get close.

Here is what it looked like a couple years ago.View attachment 1310671

And today...

Hence the name "Pile"

I just look at it as it is already disassembled and ready for cleaning and reassembly. No plan now other than get it home and inventories.
Looks like a project for Super Hugh!!

Well guys. I am waiting for Human Resources to tell me where to fxxx off to.
I have applied for a position in Missoula, MT and in the meantime submitted my preference list based on openings, not so s***ty places to live and the most full places on the crappy list they supply off of which I must pick three locations (the bottom three).
The list rounded out like this:

Missoula
Bristol
Billings
Eugene
Charleston
Atlanta
Denver

Del Rio
Alpine
Nogales

The top seven all have openings. I should find out within the next three weeks.....I hope. I have about 195 days left here.
