Does anyone know what length of aftermarket steering column would be best for my FJ40? my body is off and I have nothing to go by. I would think shorter the better to lessen the U-Joint angle on the steering shaft.

You didn't mention if you are using the factory gear box or some other gear box, that information may be helpful.

You can also try measuring from the under dash mount through the firewall to get a rough idea.

I’m using a 32” to clear the rib. But you can also adjust to what’s comfortable from the drivers seat.
