ok, well i'll leave it there then. my idea was to try to get it over cheaply without reducing the amount you get paid for your troubles but i do not want to complicate things. Good luck.

With MOT's help, I can get extra filters and resend as needed to fellow forum members with no markup over the true landed cost plus customs (if any) and reshipping.

FOB = Freight on board. At that point is when the bank usually release the funds to the seller.
I'm still interested in a group buy of 1000 units. Get me a quote (PM) if you can. I figure, at 30 filters a person, I only need 30 people with Toyotas who are interested in the true good filter. I'll have another 100 filter to last this lifetime for my cruiser

That's correct. However, I still do not have the filters. MOT is going to look at how many cases he can fit into the 30 kg limit, and how much of a difference adding Express Air shipping will make. I also do not know if there will be any customs charge or not.
Once MOT and I finalize the shipment, I will keep you guys posted here. I wanted to PM all of you individually, but then I figured that saying this here would be easier!
Until somebody comes up with a better system, MOT is the guy! If anybody wants more of these filters, please send MOT a message. He is a great guy, very responsive too.

You might be able to work something out with vcheng, Rick (landtank) is already one case off of vcheng's hands.
And as far as the cost goes, if I may quote Cdan from his earlier post:
"The last published list price was $10.44 and I was selling them for $7.83. The last ones left me in August 2004 so the pricing could be considered a bit low today."
With the USPS parcel shipping cost for 7lbs for a case being $9.70 from Albuqurque, NM to Los Angeles, CA, that translates that at the listed price (with shipping) it would have cost a customer $114.10, or $11.41/filter.
With Cdan's price, it would have been $88 ($78.30 for ten filters plus shipping), or $8.80/filter with shipping. Ass-u-me-ing that Cdan didn't give any volume discount.
So in this case where vcheng is purchasing nine cases at $11/filter with shipping included, I don't think it's that bad of a deal at all, as long as you can find nine others who are crazy enough to keep their 80 for a couple of years before their stash runs out. Heck, they wouldn't be wasted even if you "upgrade" to the 100 series before then.
Of course, chances are, you will get charged for going through the Customs, so the end cost will be a little more per filter...

Just to let everyone know, with what I've weighed today, I "should" be able to fit nine cases w/o going over the weight limit. But I cannot confirm that until I get an appropriate box tomorrow to fit them in.
Also, the end cost may increase if vcheng decides to go with express air, instead of slowboat.
We shall wait and see...
