Awesome work I wanna start welding so I can just decide to do stuff like this! Things got more beef than a cow man!

I can lock 37s up with my setup with minimul dive. 80 booster- 80 master- 80 brakes- no proportioning valve and I have my hardlines setup just like the stock 60 series.

I forgot I had a friend install a bigger master cylinder years back. Now I have to run brake lines and weld tabs install axle/ Do brakes, parking break adapter. 37s

sound nice!!!!

So I bought a double flaring tool and put it to use right away. I Slapped some tremclad on there and called it a day. I just reduce tremclad with 10% paint thinner. Its cheap and effective. Now I have to drill out the pinion flange to mate to my drive shaft and drill out a new breather.

Installed the parking break with an uber awesome extended adapter. Save myself a few bucks. Installed new oem flexible break hose and axle vent, which I routed up to inside the rear quarter panel. I don't like the stainless flexible break hoses. I have seen to many fail. I bled the brakes by myself which isn't exactly the right way to do things. But I have a friend coming over later today that will help me bleed them again.

Awesome

Hows this for a super sketchy crane of DEATH? LOL I am heading over to the mainland to pick up a sawmill. Figured this would make the job easier. Just under $200 for all the hardware. I am sure it can pick up at least 1000+ pounds.

Well it seems like all you 60 series guys are getting a little soft. Oh moderator, please move this thread into the hardcore section. Please and thank you.

Too many pansies needing help installing stickers on their back windows. Please excuse my overly dry sense oh humor.

I broke 7 front axle shafts then went trail gear and never had a problem since. maybe the odd clicking. welded front w/35" muds

So with a welded front diff do you shift into 4 to get up something then back two 2 to do turns?

I like it! the way i drive that sounds just as good as a locker.

Not in the rear diff though...

Ya I have been wishing on arb or ome cable lockers for ever now. Way too expensive for this old cheap bastard. Maybe if I find an e-locker I might go that way but?

When I turn on dry rock yes I have to unlock. But up here in BC there isn't too many areas like that. Lots of slippery roots. Driving on snowy roads with welded front diff is super sketchy but I do fine in 2wd. I go up mt washington in 2wd winter conditions.

P.s. My wheel barrow has a front welded diff too!

A guy in Victoria had a 40 with a welded rear. He would be doing a slow turn with a 1 kilometre radius in a parking lot. the 40 would be bucking and screeching Funniest thing to watch!
