Well it seems like all you 60 series guys are getting a little soft. Oh moderator, please move this thread into the hardcore section. Please and thank you.

Too many pansies needing help installing stickers on their back windows. Please excuse my overly dry sense oh humor.

That's why I had my Moonshine thread moved over. 60 series are starting to get too expensive for most people to modify like we have.

Love that front crane! I hope you have a remote control for your winch though, I wouldn't want to be standing near that thing while it had weight on it.

A guy in Victoria had a 40 with a welded rear. He would be doing a slow turn with a 1 kilometre radius in a parking lot. the 40 would be bucking and screeching so much it looked like it was super pissed. It terrified little old ladies and some men too. Funniest thing to watch!

This is what a wheelbarrow with a welded rear diff looks like.View attachment 1549564

I have a similar friend that also had the welded rear. chirp chirp!

I have an in-cab remote for my winch as well as a 10' remote. I will not stand under the crane for safety reasons, lol. But I will be testing it out with some pretty heavy logs coming soon. pics and video to come. I picked up 600 pounds like is was nothing, but I did notice the front suspension squish down a bit. I will cram some blocks in there for heavy lifts.

Very interested to see how it performs. Depending on your success, I might have to build one for moonshine.

^ya same, that would be a perfect cherry picker for ripping out motors. How are those 80 brakes working cruisediesel?

Seen this welded rear in the 40 section Had a good laugh. The Wall of Shame

So far not so good. I just by-passed the stock proportioning valve and added an adjustable one. But..... I was having one of THOSE days. I cross threaded the master cylinder rear brake line threads. So I took it as a sign an just ordered the 93 80 series non-abs MC from Lordco. Only a hundred bucks! So now the question is: Do I actually need the proportioning valve now?

When you say stock proportioning valve are you talking about the piece that goes on the bottom two studs on the booster? I kept that and ran my two lines from the 80 mc into that and then into the stock 60 lines on the firewall.
This is what I went off:

I get a little nose dive if I lock them up, but I'm thinking that's because I have more weight up front with the bumper/ winch

After a hip replacement and a 3 week vacation in panama I have came to the conclusion to my brake issue was: My front brakes are seized and they were. Some times you have to think outside the box. Everything is soaking in diesel and I will try to free them up today.

Dam how old are you! That was a good time to take three weeks off from this island weather. I got remanufactured callipers from Napa for about 40$ each with cores. Still can’t lock my tires up though...

I am 35 but a shattered mu femur when I was 13 in a mountain bike accident. The old hip and hardware had to go. Let the porcelain shine. Its a 25-30 year hip. So maybe I will have another when I am 65.

Hah just bugging you, Sounds painful... At least you will be able to give it to the girlfriend now. she’s probably sick of being on top!

I don't think she'll get sick of that.

Found some logs to test out my, new to me, saw mill. Yes the brakes are working good now.
