Well, that was horrific.

Good cage so far though :flipoff2:

Im thinking of doing an x between the two cross pipes. not going to plate it so it wont hold any muck n rocks. my truck is officially 6600 pounds. im going to have to stop adding metal and let the rust take over for a bit to lose a few pounds.

This truck kicks ass.

I would live to hear how mean the thing sounds at full tilt.

i think imza gonna do somes more welding today. post pics later punks

rock slider "upgrade"

That's nice work. Love how your build shows the two seasons on the island. Wet and not so wet.

I built a skid plate similar to yours. One suggestion: bolt through the side of the frame to the angle iron. That way you won't shear the bolt heads or distort them so bad they won't come out. The nice thing about your design is all the upward pressure from rock bashing is taken by the angle and there is zero stress on the bolts.
Just mount the plate, drill two holes on each side, run the bolts through bolt it up, then tack the nuts to the inner angle iron. Super simple and quick to take off and put on.

thanks for the tips, will change design and finish the skid when it stops raining. im working on my toyota pickup bumper these days. i'll post a pic

suspension overhaul. new 14" bilteins, 2" longer than my 8 year old rancho's. should be nice:)

As you can see i was getting some exhaust fumes up in my junk and winters right around the corner so no more wet seat in the back, phucking eh rights buds!

Well i thought i would FINALLY fix some slow leaks under my bj60. Rear 3rd member leaks, same with the dif cover. Going to install a speed sleeve for rear output on Transfer case.

What i discovered was a worn bearing race on the axle. FML Also I just ordered breaks. Should be here in the A.M. Going to go pull an axle tomorrow and fix her up good.

I went to a mud bog redneck fest and drowned my truck in the mud a few times.
