Stalling issues

I did notice today that when i started it up, it seems as though it idles for almost the exact amount of time ( roughly 30 seconds) before shutting off no matter high many times i restart it.
This SCREAMS out AFM to me.
The fuel pump is fired by 2 circuits. When you crank the starter it fires the fuel pump. Once the engine catches and the flap in the AFM opens, the fuel pump remains energized when you release the key from the start position. If the AFM flap is not opening correctly or there is an issue with the FP logic circuit, the FP will not remain running and the engine will stall after the fuel pressure falls.
You need to bypass the FP logic as described in post #14 above to verify. This should be done as a step 1.
You also never answered my question regarding the air intake plenum.

Had a very similar problem on a 93 Lexus a couple years back, customer had it towed in and my brother and I got to diagnosing it and nothing seemed out of place, had the same issues you're describing until it finally wouldn't start at all. After about 15 hours of wire chasing and FSM testing procedure for the fuel and ignition systems we determined it was a bad MAF, pryed the little black cover off the top and found some of the wires had broken free from their contact points, soldered them on and she ran like a top. Long story short, thouroughly inspect the intake tube, check all vacuum lines, and find a friend who would drive over and swap MAF's with you to see if it cures it.

Should the coil wire from the ignitor be generating a spark If i detached it from the distributor and try starting the motor? (Inserting a screwdriver inside coil while trying to fire it)

Hopes that makes sense.

@ SmokingRock - i tried what you recommended with jumping B+ with FP. We took a fuel pressure tester and connected it to the line coming from the fuel pump to where the line connects to the fuel filter. When i jumped it, we could hear the fuel pump running but there was no pressure showing on the guage. actually he said that it should 10 psi once and that was it.

What should the fuel pressure psi be at?

Update: SmokingRock - fuel pump worked fine with trying what you stated in post 14. But we did changed the fuel pump becuase the screener was completely shredded. Tried running the car again and this time around, when the car begins to bog out, it actually recovers but eventually will bog out and die. So at this point, we have a new fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs and wires, and cap and rotor. i opened up the AFM to see if any connections were damaged but none were. we left it open and the throttle to see if the AFM was responding and it seemed to work fine.

I did notice one other thing tho. as i pressed on the gas i noticed the headlights would brighten up. Seems like a possible alternator issue but i doubt its the culprit. i took off the negative on the battery to see if it would cut off and it didnt.

If anyone has any other options as to what it may be, please let me know. I am going to try and bring it down to toyamasters in corona tomorrow.
