Generally the banjo fittings are malleable and can be 'tuned' to fit. Ask first before attempting to bend them though ;).

With the Parker store you need to take your line(s) in there to have them made. They don't have a master catalog to work from.

The stoptech kit only has the lines for the calipers. You have to have the chassis to rear axle hose made. I had mine made by Earl's in Lawndale, CA (on Hawthorne Blvd under the 405 fwy in LA). The rear stoptech hoses are just barely long enough.

Skidoo,

Did you have to get all 4 caliper lines modified or just the fronts?

Thanks. Do you have a picture of how the rear lines route to the calipers?:)

Here is rear caliper line routing. Because of Goodridge's banjo adapter line does not fit in slot to keep it from turning. The Stoptech lines do fit in slot.

Those are the 21126, stock length for non VSC (has 5 lines), mine are the 2-21127, 2" longer and for VSC (has 6 lines). The front banjos on the 21126 would work without mod for mine, not sure why they have the other in 21127 kit. Got mine a little over a year ago.

So we now know 21126 bolts in and the 21127 needs front lines same as 21126 kit.

Brake lines of all kinds from AutoAnything can bridge the gap between a lift kit and your calipers, enhance pedal feel, or just surpass the performance of stock brake lines. Our brake lines and stainless steel brake lines are crafted to last. And, you can order OEM-grade Brake Lines and Brake Hoses in our Replacement Auto Parts department.
Heaven, thanks for posting. Can you help me with a part number and price for SS lines for an '01 LX470 with no lift?

Thanks

Steve

Steve, you need Goodrigde part number 21127. But take look at how fitting attaches to front caliper. And refer to my previous post with a number of photos,

if your line looks like the stock Goodridge line you are good. If it leaves caliper the way my modified line does, the 21127 may need to have fitting replaced on front lines. Hoser may be making progress with Goodridge on lines might wait to hear back from him.

Skidoo, many thanks

I've exchanged a couple emails with the contact person Skidoo gave me. It sounds like they can remake the "modified" kit Skidoo has (xx2-21127). But mine is a non-vsc model (2-21126)... I think the 4 brake lines to the caliper are identical in both VSC and non-VSC models, but he hasn't gotten back to me since.

This is becoming too much trouble. I'm just going to order the standard kit, likely Stop-tech since it, for sure, has the design I want, and then get the 5th brake line custom made. Done.

Hoser, the non-VSC kit looks right see post 67 above. Not sure why the two kits have different front lines, but non-VSC looks good to me.
Maybe spresso should go in the business of brake lines, only one that has it down.

I've also decided on Stop-Tech lines because 1) they are tested up to 4500 psi vs 3000 psi for the Goodridge's. But more importantly, the Stop-tech have a clear sheath over the braided part. Dirt that gets caught in between the SS braid and the inner teflon liner is the silent killer.

I think Goodridge also carries brake lines with the outer protective sheath but the G-stop line doesn't and that is the one they sell for our 100's. Can anybody confirm the Goodridges don't have the clear sheath? My info is from years back and they could've made changes since then.

Any update on this front? I'm very interested in an off the shelf, plug-n-play solution if one exists... reading through this thread I wasn't sure what if one existed...

Any advice?

I got my hoses made from the Parker Fittings store in Fremont. I took my old hoses in and told them how I wanted them made. They're a little bit more expensive than either the Stoptech or the Goodridge but you get all the hoses like you need them.

The fittings hardline end fittings are not 100% the same - but its a 1 banana job to fit them - just need the oem retainer clips to be bent a bit.

Have been using mine for a week now and am satisfied with them. However the brake feel improvement is marginal - but I think that's because the brakes were quite good to begin with. I now just have peace of mind and longer lines.
