That messes me up every time. Both my vehicles are different and I have to look at the little arrow in the dash to remind myself as I pull up to the pump.

This is a possible solution

I don't know about other places, but here in Texas when the pumps get busy they have a Costco employee directing cars to the shortest available line. Doesn't matter which side your fuel door is on--Costco has those little retractable cables so you can pull the fuel hose to reach the opposite side of the car. Looks goofy, but it's correct for how Costco wants to maximize efficiency

OK, i'll take a stab at the SQOD: how do you send a PM to another member?
If you single click on their name, it should open a small dialog box that has a button that says "start conversation". Click on that button and it will take you to a web page where you can compose and send a private message.

Pretty sure it’s the glass break sensor. On my LX it was just taped to the black panel you have lowered there. I believe there is a cutout in the panel for the business end to sit near. The cutout may be underneath the grey mat.
It did appear to be some sort of sensor. How does it sense glass breaking from under the passenger knee airbag?

You click on their screen name ans there is an option to start a conversation. Edit. (Oops. Someone had answered already )

Stupid Question- Does anyone know a shop in S Cal that is comfortable putting an OME suspension on an LC200? I live out by Barstow, and no one out here is comfortable doing suspension work because they are not familiar with the KDSS system.

Rpm garage in Monrovia. They're the best!

While digging around trying to access the glove box light, I noticed this little black plastic thing dangling down. What is this? Had a flat side with what looked like worn out foam tape that once secured it somewhere.

Is your bug out bag packed? That's a Russian listening device. 😬

Can anyone point me to info/links on the compromises of a differential regear?

I’ve increased tire size and although There’s no noticeable change in engine rpms at highway speed, I’ve read a regear would1) preserve engine longevity and 2) increase crawl ratio. What are the trade offs?

I cant remember who had it, but the rear vinal wrap has been removed from my rear LC badge. Who on here had just the Land Cruiser letters highlighted in black?? I can’t find the thread.....

I did on my last land cruiser. I got the kit from TVD Vinyl decals.

Some discussions in the threads below...

@Sinister His decals held up great. Mine was a '13. I'd be surprised if it didn't work on your '11. Maybe someone that knows the different generations could say for sure.

I occasionally tap the Engine Start/Stop button instead of the radio button while driving and fortunately nothing happens, but the other day when pulling away from the gas pump I accidentally shut off the engine while moving very slowly. The manual says that the engine will shut off if you hold the button for three seconds which I'm sure I did not do.

Does anyone know if the three-second rule does not apply at slow speeds (like this video)? I don't really want to try it again on my vehicle.

My first SQOD, I'm sure I'll have many more.

Completed my first DIY oil change yesterday on my New-to-me 2014 LC. Oil capacity is listed as 7.9 qts with filter change. I let the oil pan and filter drip for about 30 mins while inspecting other items under the truck. To make access a bit easier, I raised the Drivers side a few inches but lifting the front drivers side tire. Once leveled on flat surface, it took about 8.25 qts to get the oil level half way between the low & high marks. I assumed with about 1/3 qt over capacity, the level would've been very close to the HIGH mark.

Has anyone seen their 200 take more oil than the capacity states and still not be on the high mark?

I just changed mine yesterday, and as usual, it took ~8.5 quarts to get it to the Full mark on the dipstick.

Same here, a couple weeks ago on my oil change, I put in 8 quarts and was still on the lower end of the dipstick. Added ~.25 more and right in the middle.

Is there any way to start the vehicle if the battery in the FOB is dead?
