Well I got more new parts tonight... new calipers/pads/rotors/lines for the front and also new calipers/pads for the back...
Does anyone know the actual part numbers for the rotors for the rear disk swap? I probably opened half of lordco's stock of rotors today trying to find some that'd fit

well going back to the point about drilling your springs to make the drive shaft work.. if you had longer spring perches you could drill extra holes in the perches and your spring plates to move the axle forward an inch or center or back an inch..

Interesting... I hadn't considered that... but the rear calipers I got were so cheap I doubt that its worth switching... I just need to get some rotors and get my buddy to turn the insides out of them...
Is that a full floater?
sounds like it...I had that arrangement on a couple different trucks...excellent face into windshield stopping power.
If it's NOT a FF, I'd like to see pics of the brackets...

Availability... the original plan was to do the axles up then swap them onto the truck... now I'm debating just putting the knuckles onto my 40 axle housings... since the truck will be apart anyway...

Alright... so axle tear-down is complete! Just need to grind off the perches and then its on to painting with weld through primer...
Anyone tempted to stop buy... I have over 100 cans of beer here... someones gotta come help me drink these!

Got the knuckles cleaned up...
Is there any reason why I can't sand blast the outside of this stuff (knuckles, hubs) ... As long as I don't hit the inside surfaces... I don't see a problem but perhaps I'm missing something...

for the front, screwdriver ,hammer.
fxxx em up, pry em out. drink beer, rinse, repeat.
for the rear...slide hammer, and have some bandaids handy...
( or get a pipe....)

Do you have a slide hammer handy or do I need to build one (Lots of bandaids!)
when you do your cut and turn... if it doesnt turn then the sleeves have been factory tacked in place... i ran into this problem when i did my cut and turn with the axle that i did..
