I’m currently on the Georgia Traverse via Georgia Overland Route. It would be a great way to arrive coming in from the Northeast. Check out the route. Unload Pig in South Carolina and add acool overland route to the trip down

My daughter and I were going to run that for spring break a few months ago. Went to the Red River Gorge instead. Kinda wish I'd done it.

Pig Party Campground Info

7.5 miles up from the said Parking area for big trucks and trailers.

Fee $3 per site , bring cash

They are typical Forest Service sites for
2 vehicles max per site. Tent pad. Table. Fire ring. Grill.


Toilets on site. I did not go in but I don’t think they had showers.

No cell service. I have ATT and Verizon and both were nada.

We are looking into cooking a whole hog on Saturday. Details to come.
