80 welcome? I ride the Ozarks all the time. Have a lot of great trails mapped from the last few years. I know of one real big dispersed campsite on Illinois Bayou, but it could possibly be taken, depending on the day of the week. I love the Ozarks because they can go from mild to wild at the drop of a hat.

I just read through all of the pages here and all I can say is there is a ton of fun water crossings in that north to south section between Woolum toward Hector that was posted on page 7 by @wngrog, and to agree with @REKCUT, it is definitely a full day on the trails, if heading to Long Pool from Woolum. It could be one epic day, or two epic days of riding, for sure. 👍 Everyone attending will have a blast.

Did it with 3 trucks in 4 hours in January. It’s an easy nice ride.

Im usually doing this with a bunch of old men with weak bladders. Seems like we end up with LOTS of leg stretching. I'd agree with 4 hours driving.

I love folks that want to see some country. Lead on.

Cool, yeah that area is what some friends and I refer to as the “water ride” section. We last did this area over two days with a loop in the middle. Water was super high and there were probably 8 rigs, so we were moving slow and enjoying it.

Maybe I forgot to turn off the recording, seeing as how it ended at 10:30pm. 😂

i think there's some nice views along that route... you get some cool stuff in the richland valley. I can't remember how many good lookouts are along that way.

some other considerations...the east side of richland wilderness area has the campground, some nice creek scenery along falling water creek and also falling water falls (prob more vehicle and horse traffic though). if you head east to lurton instead of going south on the west side of richland wilderness, you get sam's throne. when you head east on 16 to pelsor after the wilderness area and ben hur, you get pedestal rocks. the north fork road and granny gap are ok, maybe some good fall colors. if you were to head west on 123 through pelsor and down to ft douglas, you'll cross the piney with the old one lane steel bridge & can also stop at haw creek campground. from there you could back track back up and hit the indian creek road down to indian creek and back up to longpool or go west and south on 123 from haw creek till you hit pilot rock rd, which takes you on the south side of the hill and ends by twin bridges by long pool.
best, ty

All the locals flexing their muscles. My guide that taught me the trails is from Russellville but I keep most all of his secret spots secret.

The plan Saturday will be to split the group up for the southbound trip so the more routes and guides the merrier.

Ace Overland hooked me up and opened the shop for 1 more hour!

better hurry if you missed the date like me!

The fact that the US Army let’s you fly a multi million dollar aircraft is perplexing at best.

Basically ready to go
Great job getting the pig ready to go, wish I was able to make it out as see this beast on its maiden voyage but life is throwing be a few curve balls lately and I’m going to need to stay close to home.

miss you buddy! Put about 400 miles on it now. Next step is radio, speakers, window rubber, so we’re pretty far down the list.
